Welcome to the final installment of 'the conquest of the new world' for the crusader part of the saga-not to worry though for i have added to bonus maps in a seperate folder, maps that didnt make the final version.
map v3 will only play for crusader extreme.
map 5 will play on both versions(crusader 1.2 and extreme) and is a place your own keep scenario, and events are scripted.
Map 4 sees you and a handful of troops(with your cimaroon allies)ready to attack the coastal town which threatens your progress.
Your mission is to kill the enemy lord and destroy the cathedral.
The task will not be easy as the Spanish have a large force waiting for you,so you will need to find a way in.
I have left cede events in(dated mar 2009)so you can add /delete them and create your own scenario etc.
Next week will see the first mission for stronghold one (version 1.2) and promises to be challenging.
As always enjoy the maps and feel free to leave any comments or ask for advice on mission 4.
The Conquest-4 offers an exciting task. While you lay siege on a city, not only the knights from there charge on you but also the macemen and knights of two large invasion who beyond that threaten your flank.
But: victory is conditioned by "Destroy Cathedral" + "Kill enemy Lord" whereas the cede event is triggered by "Enemy troops killed: 100". So I suddenly found myself with an army of 1,081 troops.
Even if the ceded Cathedral gets destroyed by "Attack here" there still remains the condition to kill an enemy Lord who has already left the map.
The Conquest-5 looks friendly at the start with its PYOK beginning and little wood and bread and no weapons.
But: ony year later, an invasion of 158 troops is upon you, most of them heavily armed. I had 23 woodcutters running (and 1 innkeeper and 2 waterbearers), but - lol - so many 12 planks of wood for 2 traps cannot be delievered in a year, to catch them all.
