I am currently creating an enormous map that has taken a few months. So I decided I needed a break from it and spent an hour to make this small invasion. Nothing spectacular - terrain, landscape and castle took 40 mins to make, testing took 20 mins. lol So a one-hour-map like this is a waste of time for me.
As the leader of a small outlaw army, you come across an interesting but small castle. It looks way too easy to siege, so it can't be hard. Siege away!

rishav, If you ever have any questions about map design you need to go to the
Stronghold: Scenario Design forum
http://stronghold.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forum/display.cgi?action=t&fn=4
and post a new topic to ask your question. Everyone there likes to help out other designers.[Edited on 08/01/09 @ 07:57 AM]

Has anyone tried destroying the stone wall? It's a little surprise for you all. :D |

Of course, I sent the swordsmen to tear down the small, perhaps lowered walls. But what was that? A mysterious effect! Not possible to bang one's head against it or go it up. Ah: a map by the new master of mapmaking (another tutorial, please). :)
Nice siege. First, the curved wall provides cover for patient players, then the path leads through ground open for the relentless shooters from besides the Keep. |

Nice map Dragonheart! It remembers me of your Reckles Hate part 6 map. The scenario was extremely easy. Unexpected for a 'hardcore' player like you, lol.
What I can say about that trick: wow
I have a guess of how you made that (not tested yet), but please make a tutorial :d[Edited on 08/01/09 @ 02:44 PM]

To do the trick, create high plains and place the wall on it. Use the lowering wall trick and delete the wall. Place iron over the rocks and put the wall back on the heightened land.
^
Nevermind, it only completely flattens the wall.[Edited on 08/01/09 @ 06:43 PM]

There is a secret passageway to the right of the castle where you CAN get through the wall. Then you can avoid the crossbowmen.
And yeah, place a high wall on himalaya height and it automatically lowers to min height. If the wall is deleted, the himalaya height returns.
I didn't try to make this map spectacular... remember, it only took me an hour (and I was bored).
Good luck. |

Nobody here knew about the magic walls trick?
I know Stronghold Heaven is a great site, but it IS okay to go on Stronghold-Knights you know.
I knew about the magic walls years ago. |
