Hello, Legolas!
The first thing I would like to say is this map is unplayable. You are forced to place a granary at the start, and since you have no stockpile, you have no wood, and the granary cannot be placed. Therefore you cannot get past the granary screen.
However, I went into the editor and made a stockpile.
Before I tell you about my experiences playing your map, I would like to suggest to you a couple of options.
First of all, since this map was unplayable from the start, playing your own map before you submitted this would have allowed you to correct this. So this fact suggests you don't playtest your maps. If you playtest your maps, most scenarios will get much better. If you would have played this freebuild, this stockpile fact would have been apparent to you, and you could have fixed it. Also, you could keep playing and find any other problems. Your rating could go up plenty of points just from playtesting.
Another option, (I think you should do both, but that's my opinion) is to go on the forums and make a thread so other people can playtest your map. Now, I'll usually pick 2-3 people so
I have different opinions, but I don't pick too many so the map isn't spoiled by being shown to everyone early. Then the people comment back and tell you what's wrong and what you did well on.
I'm not going to ask why you didn't place a stockpile in the first place, as you probably have a good reason.
Ok, onto the map. I liked how you made a bridge through the river, but the river was not... anything special. The river was pretty much straight and had nothing in it. Make your rivers more wavy, this makes them more realistic. Add ripple features into the water (not too many!!!), make foam around the bridge. An interesting thing to do is make different water levels on either side of your bridge to make it look like a dam.
The edges of the river had hills leading up to it, and you used equalizer (my favorite tool in Crusader and Stronghold), but it seemed you equalizer was making a bunch of odd ledges. Use small bits of equalizer and wave it between the higher and lower heights, not too much or you'll get a slightly slanted flatland. The river also had a bunch of bushes around the edges. It looked like you just took a line and dragged in along the edges. That isn't the realistic effect you want. Dot them a little more, put them in small clusters and single bushes too.
You spelled forest wrong, you might wanna check that =P. Speaking of your forest, it wasn't really a forest. I thought it was too spread out. I would have (my opinion) pute a good dense forest on the left side of the river, and some trees on the edge of the right side of the river, and some trees south of the keep. This gives the person building room, but also a sense of being in a forest.
Anyway, I thought your stone looked good except that you had random pillars sticking up in the back. Use some equalizer to fix that up.
Anyway, I would suggest reuploading this and making it playable, then I could review it as I don't want to rate an unplayable map. And remember, if it take an hour to make a map, ten hours to make ten maps that get 2-3 rating, put ten hours into one map, playtest it and spend another hour or two editing it, and you have a really good map. An all time question here is, 10: 4 rating maps or 1: 5 rating map. I think one perfect map wins.
I hope you appreciate my constructive criticsm on your map, the great "forest" =P

Now, Legolas, I want to know, truthfully, how much time you spent on this map to your best estimate. You don't seem to be taking our (the stronghold commmunity) advice.

Thanks, Pesci di Spada, for your earlier efforts to explain to Saturas that his comment was off topic and should be made in the forums instead of the downloads :)
