Hey Guys, I took a break from making my big map and decided to spend a couple of hrs on a skirmish map... didnt have much time to create a story but here is what i got...

Deep within the arabic deserts lay a place named Arcel which survived the Arabic Crusades long ago and the final place of victory in the Arabic Crusade was therefore known as the Haven Of Arcel which no man could fight another inside but after the Leader Of The Arabs, Manbol Darkthorn died that rule changed and 6 lords moved into the Haven where they then fought for superiority and honor also there was a tomb full of treasure buried somewhere in the Haven so they also fought for that but one day a travelling scholar named Fredrick Ashol was travelling through Arcel when he was taken captive by Saladin The Wise and tortured to reveal the location of the tomb... after fruitless efforts he was slayed and they threw his body into the Void which was nothing but a long tunnel that connected from Arcel to Armonthia which had been lost for many years.

File Updated On Request and i have changed the Lord Positions and changed some of the landscape to let lords build appropriatly
only problems i noticed sometimes Saladin or Wolf will not build properly and stop constuction halfway through.Also the map will be known as Haven Of Arcel V1 in the skirmish menu.

TwoDie Che che, worst nightmare is here :DDD

So I a bit tested it and i can say that its almost like mine map in this package (Skirmish too and its was one of the first ones):

Sad but minimaps .jpg arent show up as that server which I use to post images are on breakage.
In that pack you can find map called "Like In the Desert"... Almost same just more colored :]

So tips to improve this map ("not again" you would say - lol - but i have to write how I would improve it):

Need to connect grass to each other that everybody would have more space to expend food production. Now its very grassy but not able to build more then some of them.

Add more trees to every keep. As this map is going to be played with AIs so they need trees, some trees like starting ones which will be used to build up a castle.

Use less of camels as they are not very simply killable by you (need more experience, archers to fire at that location, but not all players know it and will read this comment). AI lords can build on them and you not. :]
Deers are more easily killable so there is no so problems with them. But there is no need to place them in map editor them TOO much there.

Rocks ramdomly placed not gives anything good :D

Use a bit scrubs, cactuses to give more beauty to it.

hill a bit noisy but relivable.

i would like review on this map because i would like to know whether to continue making Skirmishes also
TwoDie Well if rate this one so you would get from 2 to 3.5 final mark :]

As i said before for it needed more to spend work on it.

Sir Ravenclaw I think he spent enough time on the map, for what he achieved is pretty good, given his experience. I mean, this is how he will learn, so although two days doesn't seem a lot, he clearly did spend a lot of time with my map.

As a side note I don't agree with some of the changes that TwoDie suggested. I think there are plenty enough resources (tree and oasis, as TwoDie mentioned).

Try using more random elevations on your maps, like small hills, some tall mountains maybe?
TwoDie And I dont agree with you, Sir Ravenclaw.

He havent spend enough time. As its looks even very unnatural (grass) - Really.

Well there is plenty of it maybe in other side of the moon but not here. :D
In one side of a map we see forests and in other side we see none of trees, even scrubs.
And oasis maybe for you are plenty but not for AI lords. They will really have a trouble to find place to place a food production farms, etc.

And those elevations in here is not so required as connecting grass to each other to gain a full productivity from it.

Trees needed more for AIs not for You! :]

Coll I agree with twodie with oasis and scurbs/trees. In my experience, AIs basically, big AIs (from snake up) place their oasis in castle, so they cant finnish their walls. Its annoying then causse its too easy to beat them. Also, if you wont put trees for 4 AI places there, they wont run their economy rich and fast (as they could) also, I would add more hills, like was said. keep working on maps :)

well i agree with Twodie but the thing is you get the player gets the trees while other lords get the money that is how u should play it or.... you can change your positioning

havent started remaiking it yet but if you would want to see it how i would improve it. :D
I dont have what to do so... lol.

+ how is your that work going with AI Lords map?
What to see unreleased maps first and ideas by improving it :D

I need to find some co-operative map making, to test it :]
