Hi Brausefrosch, Please could you make the graphic in your description be less than 500 pixels wide. This is to aid accessibility for users with the lower screen resolutions.

shape of mountain reminds me king of the hill :) its not bad but its not really good also. Next time, put more earth or scruble on map, less oasis :) also, learn how to use rocks and try to get nature or metric on map.

I like the ideas of a stony desert and a high plateau where the precious resources lie. Something different.
Nasty roundabouts and nice spots to slip through or cross.
Very few trees in the beginning. :)
Brausefrosch, you've already done a lot of work in detail. In addition to the hints given above: don't place things the big way but let them all be scarce. Around the keep, leave more space for the larger AI castles, and leave earth there only so that the walls won't be blocked by farms.

For a first map, its amazing. If its like your fifth map, its just another day in mapmaking.
