It was still cold. Spring was on us once again, but up here in the foothills of the Caladzor mountains there was still snow drifts on the ground. My breath fogged the air before me as I stood on the ramparts of the walls of Tal Reth. Why my father had sent me here, I knew not. True, he was king, and could do as he wished...but the task I'd been assigned could easily have been given to any government official. Get the villagers working. Rebuild the farms in the southern valleys, and begin storing food for winter. Bring in supplies that would be needed to shore up the fort. Watch the roads for bandits and wolves...all simple tasks. All things that a prince shouldn't have to do. At least, until he told me that enemies had been seen in the eastern mountains. Our neighbor on this border had always coveted these lands, as they were good grazing grounds for cattle. Border patrols had reported armed bands moving in the direction of the valley...and someone besides a fat and lazy councilor or official would be needed to throw them back.
And so, I found myself in the cold frozen mountains, with few men, few supplies, and even fewer hours to do a "simple" task. I wonder if everyone's first command is this difficult?...
-------------
So, this is my first map in quite some time, but I hope to make more. If this does well I might turn it into a full campaign. If it doesn't...I might do a campaign anyway. lol
Okay, so your mission is to bring in wheat for the village to they can survive the winter, wood for firewood and buildings, defend the fort and farms from bandits, wolves and the occasional attack from your rival the next county over, and...try to do it all in a mere 15 years of game time.
And don't think I'll make it easy on you either. You'll get some aid, but far more opposition. On Normal, the conditions are:
Victory:
- Population 40
- Collect 200 Wheat
- Collect 200 Wood
- No Enemy on the map
- No Wolves on the map
- No Invasions remaining
Defeat:
- The Lord is slain
- 15 years pass before Victory Conditions are met
Good luck, little prince....you'll need it. If you find it too easy for your liking, then up the difficulty level.

L_K
(oh, and just in case you were thinking of editing the map to make it easier...sorry. This is the locked version. :p)
