Mountain of the ancients is positioned in Faloom in Caranea a deserted wasteland. As soon as you arrive with your men you are surrounded by the Tarny clan, a clan known throughout the Kingdom for their crude and reckless behaviour. The king has sent you to depatch of them and by the way it looks they are the ones coming to dispatch you.
You fight your way to a mountain surrounded area and prepare for a continueis number of assaults.
I have put this in Stronghold Crusader: Invasions (as opposed to Stronghold: Invasions) because it looks like a Crusader map.

Its fine but still it could be better than this. A lot of free space for your castle means a very easy way to make your castle. The invaders are a bit crazy - they attack after 1 or 2 mins.
Balance: 5
I really like how you put the main resources in the map, and ofcourse you must think a little to place your castle corectly.
Creativity: 3.5
I think this is not the first map i seen in this invasion type but is still a good idea.
Map Design: 2.5
A good design in some parts of the map, but in rest is poor. Try to add more details, make use of the equalize-tool, add some elevations, avoid square-shaped elements in nature, try not to let a river flow upwards.
Story/Instructions: 2
Short story and no instructions or stricted objectives at all. Still the story idea is at last a normal one.
Aditional comments:
If add more details as i say it could be a great map and i think is a nice tehnique to make invasion maps. Im realy looking forward to this one.

"Fight your way" means: Place your own Keep. :)
Hard decision at the start: at the green plains or towards the raw materials? Lions will hunt the workers, nasty rabbits and trees in the stones block the space. With few starting goods, the outcome of the mission depends on a quick and successful setup.
Then, the raiding parties arrive one after the other, growing in strength. Two signposts is always a helpful idea.
There are many little details on every level that show, the author went into the nature of the game. Note, for example, that some border tiles of the eastern massive allow building stairs, or the funny start date.
Overall, the concept is not new, certainly. And modelling the landscape cound be done far nicer. Interesting though. Wether the map is a promissing start?
