File Details
Map Size: 300x300 (Medium)
Difficulty: Normal
Made with version: 1.2
After years of preparation the viking lord grogan has come for you. Both of you desire the county of iron and you must fight to get it.

The main army are away recruiting so you'll have to train some new recruits. Your castle is a simple wooden castle and grogans swordsmen will prove a worthy challenge.

There are many resources to prepare you're defence and the market will trade you for stone and wood.
Food is very little is this county so be prepared to spend a little money to keep the peasents happy.

This map is based in 1346, two years before the black death or (black plague).
So make sure you hire some healers as the plague has spread all over the world.

Adam the First The castle looks really cool, but the mission is too easy, nothing happens, only some plague events added, that don't really affects the economy, thanks to the fear factor +5; and nine years to set up an army against a weak invasion. You could make it harder if you add more invasions and more events.
Senseisan I agree , a bit too easy ...

Whith pikemen instead of this poor spearmen mowned before they only dream to reach the moat , may be less easy .

Playability: 2.5
This scenario was very fun for me, particularly on very hard. I started the mission by producing lot of bows, lots and lots of bows, I've built a gatehouse behind the bridge and sent all of my archers on it. When the first invasion started I had ~50 archers, they eliminated all of the enemies, they don't even reached the drawbridge (except the swordsman, but they can't fill in the moat). At the second invasion I had 160 archers on the gatehouse, they grinded off all of the enemy troops. I didn't have to use swordsmen. Between the two invasions I destroyed the walls(they had no use) and a lots of wood flooded the stockpile. I've built a lot of hops farms and breweries, they produced 300 ales in ~20 minutes. After I had 330 ales, I've built some Inns and completed the mission.

Some bugs: 1.If you keep closed the drawbridges, swordsmen will never attack.
2. If spearmen reach the drawbridge, they don't start filling in the moat.

Balance: 3
The mission was too easy. The plague events never had a chance to harm my economy, thanks to the fear factor +5. And the invasions were very weak. As Senseisan mentioned, add pikemen instead of spearmen. And I could control the attacks, the swordsmen attacked only when I opened the drawbridge, and if I kept it close, only groups of 3-4, 5-6 spearmen attacked.
You should really playtest your maps, or ask someone to do it, if you can't find bugs.

Creativity: 3
Sadly, only a 3 here... The castle looked very good, but the placing of buildings are very unreal, hunters' huts and woodcutters' huts in a row, 2 chapels near the keep, a large stockpile(7-8parts) in a row at the wall, 6 hunters' huts near the granary, 4 of them cannot be reached by workers, and only 2 granaries can be reached(after destroying the walls around it, they become active again). I think vikings would never build chapels, as they never worshiped Christian god.

Map Design: 3.5
It was quite good, but still had lot of unfinished and unnatural parts, which could be avoided by spending much much more time with your maps. But the good thing, that you improve. :)

Story/Instructions: 2.5
Well, it wasn't so short, but it's still an explanation, and you made a lot of spelling and terrible grammar mistakes, which you shouldn't allow yourself in a story.

Additional Comments:
I've already told you what should you do, and I don't want to repeat myself.
But some tips: learn spelling and grammar. (I except English is your native language)

Eaogrim Adam i see 1 typing error there, cant be too picky now, let him off, we cant all spell perfect now can we ??
Adam the First That's why I use MSword, when I'm writing a story.

If someone has a lot of mistakes in a story or description, people won't take them seriously.

And yes I know that everyone can have spelling mistakes, but I always try to avoid as many as I can. And there's an "edit" bottom too. If I see mistakes in my comments I always correct them.

(Actually there are more mistakes than one.)
