The history of Carrickfergus is inside the file and the story is in-game
I made an Irish castle because im from ireland, but this is the first Irish castle I have made.
This is my last stronghold map because im moving on to a new game on my computer.
There are images inside to show you where the invaders are more likely to attack, but if you want honest play dont look.
There is one thing i will give away, you can get archers by completing a task but it isnt so easy to figure out.

It seems that the map is for Stronghold, not for Cruasder, should be moved to Stronghold: Invasions.

Very easy ( 6% losses at VH level )

Seems that invaders tried first to gather in the northern part of the map , receiving " St Sebastian greetings " from my crossbowmen all the way long ...
An over average map ( for my taste ...)whith some problems to solve .

Playability: 3
A good average map. The gameplay wasn't so entertaining, but it wasn't that bad. After the first examining try I realised that the mission is very easy and only a few manouvers were needed to win. I gathered all my starting troops to the keep and placed all my missiles on some towers and my melees to protect the lord, and with a careful management of troops and pitch ditches I had no problems to win. Also, the height and the large amount of beginning pitch was greatly to the player's advantege. And since challenge was completely missiong from the map, the fun-factor was low too, so I can't award a higher score here.
Balance: 2.5
According to playability, the balance was bad, the mission was easily possible, even on very hard with the starting troops only. The player had too many at his/her advantage and that was really against the balance and playability scores.
Creativity: 3
Bits of creativity showed up in the design and usage of eye-candeis (the boats, the watch tower and the wooden village). However there were nothing truly unique about this map, nor in the design and the scripting, so an average score seems fair here.
Map Design: 3.5
The map design was interesting, the boats and the watchtower in the western part of the map looked quite good. The castle and village were also good to look at, however most of the area was blank, and the landscape looked kinda unnatural and unfinished. But overall a good map design.
Story/Instructions: 3
The history of the map is a straight copy from wikipedia, this is something I can hardly award, however there were some "hint pictures" in the zip file and a basic short story in the map description, so I give a 3 here.
