Its the year 3441, and the Allied forces have reached the black gate. Led by Elendil, King of Gondor and Gil-Galad, King of the Elves, the Allied forces have repulsed many of Saurons forces. Elendil's son and his men were killed by rocks and missiles thrown from the Black Gate.
Sauron's forces are spread everywhere, but very powerful. The elves have already take the western forest, blocking Sauron's escape.
This is the first of my LOTR series and the first mission is short and easy. It took me a long time to make this map so I hope you like it.
Playability: 1.5
What to say...it wasn't a great challenge, even on very hard. The only thing I had to do was charging the lord with my macemen, the enemies were just staying and did nothing. Sorry, but I can't award a better score here.
Balance: 2
As the playability, the balance was very bad too, it was like there were no enemies. This was the easiest mission I have ever played.
Creativity: 3
This map is a really good idea, but you should be more creative here. Try adding macemen, instead of swordsmen, and turn all enemies to aggressive stance, that would make them charge into your lines. Also add more crossbowmen to make the way to the lord harder.
Map Design: 3
It was quite good, but there were nothing that really catched my eyes, and I think trees never lived in Mordor. The forts were nice additions, but I think you should had to make the area of Mount Doom perfect, instead of adding all the places of Mordor into one map.
Story/Instructions: 1.5
There were no story, only few lines explaining the situation. Write your storys longer and put more detail into them.
Additional Comments:
This map is one of your better ones in design, but in playability one of the worst. In the maps the fun factor is the msot important, you can achieve a lot of things with the editor. You still don't playtest your maps, in the Forum's Map Room you can request playtesting, people at SHHeaven are very helpful, I would help you too, if you ask(in playtesting, scripting, design, etc.). ;)
