The King, who rules over a vast kingdom, wants to demonstrate his god given reign in the northern barbarian provinces. For this purpose he sends you and your followers to the county of Nordental which is the last outpost guarding the border to king Farfist's realm. The only natural protection you have from Farfist's men is the north-eastern sea. This however does not hinder Farfist from sending troops to your shores by ships so you'll have the constant threat of raiding parties to deal with.
With this in mind you arrive in Nordental, only to find that you have even more problems to deal with. The manor house you call your home is in disrepair, missing part of its protective wall. Your orchards are unkempt but with a little work will provide enough food for you and your subjects. More or less ideal preconditions for your reign in hectic times such as these, but.....
The urgent need for iron to forge swords and armour to arm your troops plus the danger of roaming and feral wolf packs gives you and your subjects a hard time. The shadow of king Farfist looms ever present and a strike at your estates by Farfist's men is apparent. You have to hurry in order to train and outfit your soldiers.
Furthermore you have to gather vast sums of money in order to bribe Farfist's peers who are out for fame and glory in the untamed barbarian provinces but more importantly they are out for fortune.
Hint: Do *not* take a walk on the wrong side of the palisade.
