Since your father died one month ago its up to you to rebuild this broken kingdom that has suffered so much under the regin of your ancestors.
But to reach that goal you have to get back the trust of the people. Since they are quite religious you should concentrate on that.
But be aware of the fact that Duke Markim who is taking high protection money from you every year has laid an eye on your land. he also has stationed a outpost near your castle to spy on what you are doing.
You should also notice that bandits are wandering around attacking many peaceful villages, so better not be too carefree, as long as your defense isn't strong enough.
The mercenarycamp in Longshire forest could help you getting the defenses up more quickly, as soon as you get enough money ready to pay them proberly.
Also keep in mind that there is a blocked pathway that leads to the back lands this could be a big help for getting the economy up more quickly, that will be crutial for
the small pitch production at the outer riverlake.
I wish you good luck my friend have faith and god will be with you.
have fun =)
(Tipps are included in the textfile to not take the fun for those who want to find them out for themself)
update:
changed the name from "fight for your believes" into "make them believe"
added a hidden path to shorten the way to the farms in the backland
added a small gatehouse (makes the invasion troops destroy the buildings that are placed outside the castle)
changed the starting goods
and worked on the invasions a little bit to make it more challenging and fair
I like the style of landscape, You are make very interesting castle

The map may look great, but it has some problems.
Some of them would be:
- Unworking siege machines. The AI builds siege machines but doesn't use them.
- The upper river looks weird, it passes over hills like they wouldn't be there. Confuses the player in determining in which way the river is heading and looks unnatural as well.
- Weak invasions. Even on very hard, the invasions stoods no chance against the archers, crossbows with strong shields in their face. I suggest you either delete the starting weapons or make the invasions stronger.
- Easy eco tasks.
Apart from that the castle was really nice. It really looked like a castle built on a hill, not a hill surrounding a castle.

thanks for your quick comments i will now work on some features that seem to make the map bad and upload the update soon and of course i look forward to the review.
i admit the shields were totaly overpowered,
as for the siege towers i first thought of them as some kind of transportation carriage for the taxes but well it was no good idea.
i tried to make the winning conditions a little harder to make the whole thing more interesting.

There's a problem with the .map file, The WinRaR says it's damaged.

Allright let's see how the final version works...

I tried the final version.
I think invasions are still weak though the eco tasks are fairly balanced. You admitted shields were overpowering the player's forces but all you did was to delete most of the pre-placed shields. The player is still allowed to build them so not much changed here. There are also moments when there's nothing for the player to do. Some events would be a nice add to the map.
Edit: in the older version I saw a lot of trees were dieing. In the last version they're still alive.

hm yeah its true that i gave the option to build shields but i guess i could delete the preplaced ones so that the player has to find out for himself that they can be build.
what do you have in mind when you say new events to fill up the freetime. bandits? wolfs? pest?
and how much stronger do you think the invasionforce should get? For exampe 20 more maceman in each attack?
btw the dyig trees werent planed it happend because i placed so many bushes that caused them to die but since you get alot wood now that they are not dying anymore i will place the more distand from the castle to slow the production down a bit
