This mission is the first 400x400 mission of the series.

I have tried to put more detail into maps and have played the mission tons of times to get the invasions spot on.

My LOTR maps may not be coming out as I am finding it difficult to make them on crusader.

Adam the First From the minimap the terrain seems pretty good.
Will try it out soon. :)

(PS. : 4 is written "IV" in roman numbers, not "IIII")

i know but i find it easier to do it like that, thnx anyway for the tip
Adam the First I don't know how do you mean that, but I think typing two letters "IV" is easier to type in four letters "IIII". Others may find the "IIII" a bit confusing. But if you are developing a new writing style of numbers, I don't say anything. :P

Finally a good map! This map guarantees much more fun than the others in the series, I like fighting off invasions while collecting the goods. However my tactic worked here too good. I've gathered a lot of stones by destroying the inner wall, and I've produced 200 breads in less than two minutes! There were no problem with the invasions too. I've sold iron and apple to make money, then I've bought a lot of bows and trained ~70 archers. After it the mission became very boring, they had slaughtered all the enemies with ease. Only the first invasion caused little problem as I had only 10 archers then. But the last two invasions hadn't even reached the gate.


Creativity: 3
An eco-vasion mission is always a good idea, personally I like those the best. But in the lack of challenge I can only give it a 3. Try adding more events, like fire, plague to make the mission more interesting.

Map Design: 3
Was better than the others, but you still rushed it, don't be in hurry with your maps, you can upload them every time to SHH, just take your time and make the best you can! ;)


Story/Instructions: 2.5
A nice story, which explains the situation, but it's very short. Try to write at least a 250 words. That may raise to score to 3, if it's interesting then 3.5. With instructions/hints/tips and a much longer story the score would be 4. ;)

Adam the First Hmmm, I didn't know that, however most people recognizes "IV" as 4 today.

But I tell you the numbers form 1 to 20 in roman:

1=I
2=II
3=III
4=IV
5=V
6=VI
7=VII
8=VIII
9=IX
10=X
11=XI
12=XII
13=XIII
14=XIV
15=XV
16=XVI
17=XVII
18=XVIII
19=XIX
20=XX

peter2008 Adam the First and LoHell have already found words for it: you went a considerable step forward in mapmaking. Original ideas you had before, yet this times it feels well-rounded.

After a tunning beginning, the player has to make the best of the situation - quickly or the wall-tearing melees may overwhelm the defenders. Wheat will really not be, stone at the stockpile could become a problem.

I tried the scenario without the (certainly possible) spamming of bows but built them from scratch. There's a fine line of tension, and it did feel "hard", then. Placed a second gatehouse to be able to loose the first one.

The signposts inside the lands creates the impression that the invaders come as an uncertain threat from somewhere far away.

Details: I liked the stone quarry inside the rocks. If you allow Ballistas, we need an Engineer's post.

Keep up the good work, make it more elaborate.
