Short story.


A long time ago, in the land situated on the sea Gaerbel, there lived two brothers -
Lord Gorom'dar and Duke Gung'ar. Each of them wielded a different part of the
Great Marsh. Duke Gung'ar - lived in a small castle on the northern swamps. Lord Gorom'dar - resident lighthouse, towering over the southern marshes. One day
Duke Gung'ar decided to embrace all land inherited from his father, and then put
father's crown on his head.  Elders, Gung'ar's servant, told him about
conditions required to become king of the Great Marshes -he would have to raise or to force
his brother to provide him his share of land. So, Gung'ar went with his company
to the southern Great Marshes. There were there no peace negotiations. Lord
Gorom'dar said - "First you'd have to kill me before I would give you my lighthouse!"
Gung'ar was mad and the next day rangers guarding the marshes hear the sounds of the trumpets of war ...

I can't say here anything, cause this map was one of the most unplayable maps I've ever played. The only thing I had to do was sending all my xbowmen and archers to the inner walls, sitting back and watch as they grind off the enemies, who couldn't even touch the walls.

Balance: 1
The balance in this map was very bad, everything was to the player's advantage, most of the enemies died before they'd crossed the swamp, and the swordsmen were burnt by the engineers. There were NO challenge in this map.

Creativity: 3
A quite interesting siege map with an interesting story. The usage of the editor however showed nothing really creative.

Map Design: 3.5
A little over avarage map design, and it can be called good. Those lines of cliffs looked terribly unnatural, like the swamp and the little lone-hills. The only good part was the castle area and the market. Don't be in haste with map design, take your time and make the best maps you can.

Story/Instructions: 3
A basic story with a little effort (the fantasy names put into it, interesting, but not too long and doesn't read very well).

Additional Comments:
I suggest you to take a look at the MapMaking101 and download some maps by WL_D, Sulis and Lord Ako, their map designs are the best, take a look at them. ;)
