The Skirmish Master.

Well, this is my first skirmish story, hope you all enjoy it. Like the description says, it's based on the skirmish mode of the stronghold crusader warchest.

The story takes place somewhere in the medieval era where 16 different Lords from different regions gather in the desert to take on the challenge to see who is able to conquer the great barren lands and sandy dunes.

This great event has taken place ever since the release of Stronghold Crusader Warchest, and now you being one of the relatives or the retired Marshall Sir Longarm, have chosen to take his position and take up the challenge of besting the other 15 lords in the desert skirmish.

CHAPTER 1: Entrance Examination

Having been defeated due to a certain mistake, Sir Longarm has decided to make an early retirement from the war business, hopefully being able to enjoy what's left of his life. You, being his nephew, have seen the opportunity to be able to partake in this conquest by taking your uncle's place. However, the king doubted you due to your lack of responsibility and wisdom. In an attempt to prove him wrong, you have taken up the challenge to get a taste of the desert by dealing with it's beasts first.

Objective: Eradicate the Lions

Starting Troops:
23 Spearmen
4 Archers
3 Engineers

Difficulty: Easy

20 Fruit

CHAPTER 5: This Barren Land

Now settling to build an encampment, things aren't as easy as it seems. You only have to rely on the amount of food you've collected to keep your men alive and to produce as much wheat as fast as possible, at the same time holding off an opposing force.

peter2008 Many thanks for this campaign. I had lots of fun playing the missions.
They are different in style and task, nicely elaborated, with original ideas. The level in common: you can train just archers and spearmen (theoretically pikes in 5).

Mission 2 and 5 I loved most. In 2, you are given a complex castle and two fletchers only. 5 brings you into one of the very few situations where having religion is a must!

Suggestions:
- missions 1 and 4 might get a loose condition.
- All early invasions are timed great. Time between later invasions felt too long for me sometimes.
- For mission 5, [Edit:] be ready for an extra-ordinary start with nothing at hand.

Oh actually I purposely left the wood supply empty for mission 5, sorry about that. But, I've tested it and the lowest my popularity reached before I could erect a granary was 80. I've also found something interesting through that, if you don't build a granary and click on those peasants they'll give the comments you get when you've reached the good fear factor of five. Nevertheless, if you say so, I'll update it. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it ;)

Missions 6 - 10 coming soon, progressing on finishing mission 8

Missions 6 - 10 coming soon, progressing on finishing mission 8

peter2008 Replayed the campaign.
They are all created to have some bottlenecks of either troops or supplies.
Mission 5 has a great and dense opening.
