I played the map a couple times more and yes I passed. I didn't realise the siege engineers amongst the trees the first time. I would like to say this map does give you quite a challange but yes it is possible.
There are way too many soldiers defending the enemy castle. But after I used my siege engines to destroy the gate house and my archers to kill most foot soldiers. I killed the enemy lord with a fair amount of troops left. Well Done. ;)
I can ONLY raise the score by 1 and it is for the huge castle. I like the design and it would serve as a good defence scenario. The rest of the map it looks like you just slopped things onto random spots. Another nice thing is the boat at the top of the map.

The map design was really poorly.
The map was mostly covered by oasis and trees were just slapped into the corner. The river just comes out of nowhere. There is just a huge pile of rocks followed by the river.
I like the idea for your story but it took me a while to understand it. Your grammer is really bad and some of it didn't make sense. This is all I can give you.
Please work harder on your maps and try to add more detail.

I love this kind of sieges, one where one won't recklessly run into the main gate just like that, one where one will take time to plan ahead, choose the most safest route before actually taking action. Good work my man.
It was pretty balanced, but I chipped off a mark as 13 engineers is really a handful. 2 fire balistaes is more than enough IMO. And for a challenge I would prefer good ol assassin wall climbing rather than siege towers. However, I liked the way you used stair as floor tiles to prevent the horse riding units and siege weapons passing through, smart way to teach one how to budget on your gold for siege weapons. I guess the defeat for losing a certain amount of men also makes up for the
Really creative, those "prisoners" reminds me of the old starcraft games and their rescuable units. Ahh, good old days.
Map Design: 2.5
I have to admit, the castle's nice, but the map's well pretty...dull in my opinion. Try making it more smooth and more natural looking as I feel those trees makes it a bit unnatural.
Quite an OK storyline, although I haven't played the first 2 maps >.< and don't understand it much. Still.
Good job on this map here, although I haven't tried playing the first 2 maps but I'll do it if I have the time.
Oh and wolf, if you think getting past the first gate was hard, try playing the siege missions in the mission packs I've posted up, especially the one where you have to kill a series of knights, swordsmen, archers and crossbowmen by only using archer and spearmen ;)

I've played the map and I have to say I had great time! These maps are kinda rare, where the player has to use all troops and siege equipments given. For each layer of walls and for each type of towers I had to use a different siege equipment, for example, some towers could be beaten only by catapults, and using the ballistas to clear most of the towers was a must, otherwise lose would appear very soon. The soldiers is the prison were also very useful, but they were not a must. All in all a very entertaining and good map.
This mission challenges the mind of the player, and it may be hard for some players, however I have to say this mission was a bit easy, yes I lost once, but that was just because I didn't care about how many troops I would lose and that led to lose the whole mission. For my second try I had no problems with winning, after I've cleared most of the towers with my ballistas and archers I could easily kill the lord with my army of spearmen and arabian swordsmen. Before the final charge I also destroyed the good-things in the castle, which caused the enemy soldiers -25% effiency. Though I think this map would be a good challenge for the beginners/newbies as the author said. And yes, the only thing the player needs is examining all parts of the castle and thinking out a good strategy.
I've already said in the playability, that the player has to use everything he has to win. And that really makes the scenario creative. The usage of the editor and story shows nothing really creative though, the structure of the castle and its defences are very effective, and the player needs to take his time to break through it. Overall an over-average map in creativity, so I give you a 3.5.

It was hard to decide what score to give here as I have mixed feelings about the design. The terrain itself looks kinda ugly and that river doesn't even touch naturality. However the castle is very well designed and contains a lot of eye-candies, my personal favorite is the temple, that looks really good and the boat was also a nice addition. If I only had to rate the city, I would probably give a 4, but sadly the terrain really brings down the score.
Here I have to agree with wolf10 in everything. The story is not that short now, but it is still very badly written and hard to understand.
