i know this map doesn't look the best but please download and give it a go play tested for many hour to get the balance as best that i could you will have fun on this map

reno_keizer This map has a potential to be a great map. I suggest you to put some shrubs and rocks in every valley/hill, combine them with some irons and boulders/stones (just for an eyecandy). Maybe you have to see and explore another map (especially in skirmish map download section), for example Dark Water: Elur (design by surajsuba), it's a fantastic map, very realistic. See how Mr.Suraj designed it. Or see other great map, by AZ ViTrAzhAs, Pat Dark Knight or Sulis (their map also great). Well, Good job, mate....
palat Ok, let's talk about the gameplay.
It's the better half of the map. Invasions are scripted once in a while but in big numbers, to challenge the player a bit, but they are quite easy to defeat.
Farm space is limited so I didn't build crossbows, instead opting for pitch ditch and fire ballistas to take out armoured units, because leather armour is [the only weapon type] disabled at the marketplace.
Negative events come and go. Not too challenging as the lions are easily killed off by my archers.
A LOT of chokepoints. The good thing about these chokepoints is that they make the balance the game from the big invasions. The bad thing, however, is that they swing the difficulty towards a little too easy.
I chose to build slingers early in the mission, then a few archers later on to ignite the pitch ditches, then horse archers to patrol the farther areas, and finally fire ballistas + Assassins, Arab Swordsmen to guard the ballistas.
I never built any European units other than archers, as too many workshops would take up too much space and I needed that space for food production and ale coverage. I built two fletcher's workshops to receive a small, steady bow production so I could hire European archers instead of the expensive Arab archers. Food set to half rations (-4), then 100% ale coverage (+8) gives (+4), then raise taxes to (-4). Buy the ale.

Overall, a fun mission. Landscape does need improvement, though.
I can write a review, but it will take some time.
palat Some troop types don't work very well, too. Laddermen don't have many walls to "attack", therefore they are quite useless.
Knights don't do much except cut down siege equipment (my fire ballistas) and chase horse archers around, to no avail.

thank you guys all taken on board .In my next map i shall spend more time on the landscape again thanks for advice
