THE CHRONICLES OF DARLINDUR
CHAPTER TWO
‘’The legend says that the kingdom of Erekea was created by the ancient gods, and from them it was given to the men who now live there. Again according to legend, the human people chose four representatives to speak with the gods. The ambassadors were brought in front of the most powerful of all gods, Asol, the God of Earth and Fire. Together they decided that humans would choose a king to govern Erekea, and to speak with the Gods. The next day, the four humans were returned to Earth, and told the people what they should do. For the first time everyone lived in peace and harmony, and it was decided that the four ambassadors were to reign over Erekea, as a reward for their courage. The four kings were good and just the beginning, but over time their greed grew enormously, and began to fight among themselves. During the 3 rd Council was established that every sovereign would take a part of the kingdom. But this was not enough, and soon the four kings began to war. The youth died, burned the crops and the cattle became ill. The gods tried to intervene, but humans had become unfaithful, and no longer believed in the existence of the Gods. So the gods could only watch the slow destruction of the world they had created.

The siege of Geamlena continues for several days. Fortunately I arrived in time to warn the king. At first did not believe me, and he even wanted to kill me, because I had told him that I still believed in the old gods. Once the King accepted the facts, he will hurry up and order the army. I will not tell you the story of the battle, if you know you play the first mission. When it seemed the battle won, the unthinkable happened. The king was fighting on the ramparts, by rejecting some enemies who had scaled the walls. Unfortunately, a catapult shot struck the wall and killed the royal guards. The King was surrounded by enemies and he was brutally murdered, in front of incredulous eyes of the soldiers ... all seemed lost. But the generals were men capable, thanks to their training and courage of their men were able to repel the invaders. To celebrate the victory there was a great feast in memory of the late King, but the celebrations did not last long: a messenger entered the room and all fell silent, feeling his message. An army ten times larger than that recently experienced was marching towards the city. There was no time to lose. The soldiers loaded the wagons and prepared the supplies, and together with the citizens abandoned the city. Gaemlana had fallen and the royal dynasty was dead.
Darlindur,clerk of court.

When during the 3 rd Council settled the division of realms, it also established that only the descendants of the four King could reign. If he had remained a kingdom without a king, the kingdom was to be divided among the other King of course they would be happy to expand their territories, but they did not know what I know! Was needed to save humanity's combined strength of all four of the four King had to bring the 4 th council, but without a king would not have been possible. There seemed no solution. Instead I saw in a dream one night a fisherman. He told me to be the lost heir to Erion, the late King. I knew that dream was true, so I left immediately to search for the fisherman. My research led me to the village border, where I asked the residents if they knew a fisherman named Ithara. Luckily for me I found him almost immediately, intent on repairing a fishing net. I told him that he was the lost Erion heir, and now it was up to him to become king, since the other children of the King had died. Of course he thought I was mad, but before I could answer I was interrupted by the sound of drums. The same drums that I felt Gaemlena. Drums of war! We went out to see what was happening, and the show left us breathless. Hordes of enemies dressed in black were marching towards the village.Evidently they knew that the heir lived here. I turned to him and said <<Now you believe me? >>

THE PLACE
The village lies at the foot of a small monastery, close to the mountains Valus. And 'no walls, but it is defended by a river in the east. Across the river lies the source of income for the inhabitants: the mines. The village was formed from the homes of miners, and slowly expanded, until it became what it is today.
THE BATTLE
The army at your disposal is made up of units with no armor, so you have the number exploits. The only armored units were sent to defend the mines. Unfortunately, the enemy is clever, and with a sortie has destroyed the only bridge. You have to find a way to recover those troops, or will be unlikely that you will win. Wisely takes advantage of the shields and the few crossbowmen you have. Recruit more units possible. Move your troops wisely. Follow these tips and you should win.
OBJECTIVES
No enemy or invasion left
The fisherman (the Lord) must survive
Be careful because the enemy will arrive always from different points, so you're safe anywhere

If there was a need for Firefly to find a mission to explain the fierceful reputation of the Wolf, they could choose this one.
It is very nicely arranged. The defence is a "living wall" of troops upon and around the curved slope. The invasions arrive in an exciting change of waves.
In the script, however, also lies the problem here. Some invasions go on repeatedly without end.
Already on Normal level, my troops melted away from the constant attacks so that I had a hard time to eventually occupy the signposts. |
