After working hard to supply the king with weapons, Sir William receives a surprise visit. A travel-weary monk has arrived in secret with disturbing news -- and an equally disturbing request.
Very interesting solution. Would replay is many times for the sheer joy of it.

Limited play options on a re-hashed map. A step backwards from Usurper 8.
PLAYABILITY: You know from the outset what you have to do and you don't really get to make many choices. Needs to be more challenging!
BALANCE: The number of invading enemy seems well chosen, but your ability to isolate your archers from them prevents them from being much of a threat.
CREATIVITY: The story continues to be imaginative and the scenario itself was unique in design.
MAP DESIGN: Same map as an earlier scenario with few changes on it. NOTE: Using old maps is an issue reviewers need to discuss collectively. For now, I am going by the standard I have seen most other reviewers use. Should a consensus of reviewers decide on another standard, I will re-rate this category.
STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: The plot thickens. I've thought something O'Henry-like is up for 2 scenarios now based on the subtle repetition of certain words and thoughts. I'm just not quite sure what yet.
This is a rather short and fun scenario. However, the lack of player options and use of an old map restricts it score.

Not as great as some of the other parts, but still fun and interesting. There weren't very many choice to make, and it was easy for me to cut off the enemy. While this was the same map as in another mission, it was fun to be the one defending it. I think that more macemen would have helped make this more difficult. I spent more of my time making sure that I was going to have enough food than worrying about the invading army. - Dianna

Again I find myself contradicting some of the other reviewers but I enjoyed this map. It was a fun, playable classic invasion. It was quite hard but with full defences including pitch I dd not have too much of a problem. I liked he lenght of the game, just a enough time to get ready for the invasions. It was a creative map, the same used in chapter 2 with some changes. In chapter 2 I awarded 3 for map design but now with the changes and that the map works a lot better in defence I awarded it a 4. Story and instructions, only just anoher 5, zip file and storyline next to map excellent but more information is needed on the site. Overall a very playable, simple but entertaining map. Could have easly been 4.6. Great work!
