... oops, and then, in April 1210, victory happened out of the sudden. Jerusalem garrisson surrendered. My troops had not yet climbed the inner walls, just cleared them.
Reason: there are 2 victory conditions, "Kill enemy Lord" and one which reads "Kill the Wolf" and actually means a certain high number of enemy troops to be killed. But victory will be triggered if "One of them" is met.
So, to make the mission really challenging, I recommend the author to script these conditions as "All of them".
And how did I make my way? Not with a mass assault on the broad front, of course. From one flank I worked forward picking the defending shooters.
As I could see in your other maps of, you know about using portable shields. So I'm astonished you could not succeed here.
The start of the map is an entertaining challenge of its own kind. Masses of Arabian troops have assembled in front of the city. (The echo to "Kingdom of Heavens" movie is clear, with the trebuchets and siege towers.)
It's hard to reorganize the hordes. The Europeans watching the manifold forces must have lost hope indeed.
Not so the player. Happy sieging.
