The second installment to The Revival. After the seige, you become the talk of every tavern in old Westershire, and the Pig himself is alarmed by your victory. But he will not let you get away easy. Be careful, or this final resistance will be crushed. While marching to find what you can liberate, raid, or destroy, you come across an old monastery. . .
This scenario was fun to play but much too easy. Once I figured what was coming and when, there was no contest. I had a lot of gold and could build enough of a defensive army to clean out the enemy effortlessly. I built a stronghold inside the fortress and waited for them. Bam! Fast-paced and no rooms for mistakes, though . I got wiped out the first time. I liked that it played quickly. You didn’t have to wait 25 years for the Pig to come and clean your clock.
The scenario plays out well, but there are no surprises.
Pretty easy to beat
Standard multi-invasion siege.
Map design 3
It’s a pretty standard flat fortress with a moat.
You might study others’ maps to learn how to vary terrain and make the map more realistic.
Instructions and story: 3
Clear and easy to follow.
So overall I would say:
1. make it harder for the human player; add some twists perhaps;
2. add elevation and detail to the map to make it more realistic and interesting
3. develop the design of the castle.
