You are part of the history of Stauf, a castle with a living history. Although it really exists and the map based on it, is the map no model of Stauf. The History is complete fictional

You always get a completly developed large castle. Therefore happens nothing important in the first 5 years. The castles have the chance, to run fully, and you have the chance, to become acquainted with all functions. The men on the walls should walking, so they are no easy aims. Best playable at 80%. Heavy freguented wooden portals slows sometime movements. Delete them, and it will be o.k.



1131 – 1196: Times of unrest (65 years)

You are the castellan of Castle Stauf, appointed by Lord Gerold Sangershausen with the order, to protect the township of Oranienbach against the tries of Anhold Lord of Mansfeld, to unsettle and occupy the countship. There are now trouble which you can handle, but there are the rigors of life and nature, and there is a sworn enemy, and there will be war ….

Lord_of_Hell That's a lot of maps in a short time.
Did you create them earlier and submitted them now?:) I like the designs of the castles in particular as I'm a historical maps fan.

Nussberg and Stauf are new, the other ones are older. I'm making maps since nearly ten years, so I have a stock pile of thirty or forty "historical" maps, which are always changing. The castles are sometimes destroyed, rebuild or fortified, and the story goes on, and even as a ruin have a story. From time to time I add a new one, so as an old one ends as a ruin.
Every now and again I will add other ones, new and older ones, and the updates contains sometimes drastical changes.

I'm using the floor plans of historical castles, and these plans are often marginal, as the castles are often nothing more than some stones and parts of a few Buildings. The other part is extrapolation, and that is the stimulus ;-)

A hint: ;-) As everone should know, the AI of stronghold is a little bit debile ..... If you don't prevent it from destroying the bridge, the only passage to the inner ward, it can't win. But you can't win too, because there are no way anymore to leave. So took your forces to the outer ward before it is to late .... ;) or help the poor AI, which has always problems, to find the right strategy .....

The events in the maps are packed in bundles. As I never found possibilites, to change the comments of the events, it could be irritating. In fute you will find these information in the map’s introduction.

A starting event heads always to following events

Natural disasters heads to fugitives and bandits and thieves

Dying trees leads to fugitives and fire , bandits and thieves

Rabbits leads to wolves and pest

Wolves leads to fugitives and bandits and pest

Pest leads to revolting peasants or bards and festivals (;-) to quieten the peasants)

Marriages leads to festivals and bards

Wars, even you are not in it, leads to ransacking hordes

Stormy weather leads to fire, fugitives, bandits and thieves

And a lot of variations more.

So, don’t listen to much to the comments ……
