Rise of an Empire - chapter 4

Author File Description
File Details
Map Size: 400x400 (Large)
Difficulty: Hard
Made with version: 1.2

I have to thank Korsfarer Mogens for his advice. He told me how to improve this map, and i think that now this map is very better and harder than before.

My friends, here there is the fourth chapter. A very strong castle must be defended from the army of the House Videris. You have only to resist a short time, and then you'll win. It's easy...isn't it ?

Story and map in the zip file.

Korsfarer Mogens This map looks awesome. Caught my eye right away. Haven't played any of the first three scenarios yet - #1 being map of the week, congratulations!

Just played it (#4), and as mentioned in the description, it's short. Very short. Too short?

Sorry to say, but it wasn't hard, not even close. Just played it twice - and scored 25000 in the last attempt.

The problem: A significant number of invasion troops were still standing at the signposts, or moving from one signpost to another, when time ran out and the victory screen appeared.

I have a couple of suggestions for you, but you'll need to send me an email first - if you're interested, that is! :-)

The map begins in 1065 and ends in 1074...i think that is a good time for a simple siege. If you have some advice you can write in the comment ;)

Except there is hardly any siege, as the invaders are waiting at the signposts, or walking back and forth between the signposts.

Sure, but even a very short desciption of the problems and solutions would be a blueprint for anyone to beat your map without any losses, and all your hard work put into this map will be wasted. I don't think it's a good idea, but if you feel diffently, I'll do it.
