My maps are more simulations than stratetic fights. As simulations, they are as real as possible und represents always the lifetime of a ruler. You are this ruler, and your task will be to survive the time. These times will be sometimes very peacfully ( ;.)) may be, to peacefully), sometimes you will have nearly no chance. But which castle hat a chance, to survive the great war in Germany around 1618?
With every new generation, the apperance of the castle changes, because people always do exactly this. The landscapes changes too, because the existence of the castle and the settlements changes it. I recommend therefore, that you are looking for updates, because the maps could be very different. The events of earlier maps influences always the events of the new one.
You always get a completly developed large castle. Therefore happens nothing important in the first 5 years. The castles have the chance, to run fully, and you have the chance, to become acquainted with all functions. Best playable at 80%. Heavy freguented wooden portals slows sometime movements. Delete them, and it will be o.k.
You are part of the history of Riesenburg, a castle with a living history. Although it really exists and the map based on it, the map is not a model of Riesenburg. The History is complete fictional.
The riesenburg was built in the southern east to be a border fortress against the Timothean barbarians.
1250 – 1305 Times of barbarian disturbances (55 years, if lucky)
You are Timontus von Berenstein, the pig, and your king ordered you in the southeast, to build up a border fortress against the timothean barbarians. But three leaders forced a alliance against you, and their artmies are on the way. But hordes of barbarians are always attacking, already in the beginning, and there are groups of men in arms, which are ransacking the countryside. A hard job you have to do, and you need luck …
Hints: You should stop woodcutting, because your woods are dying. Your trade-routes are bad, so you depend mainly on your ressources. You should build breweries, and look for stone, you will desperatly need it in future. You are already attacked early in the beginning, and this will be not the three marching armies, it will be hordes of barbarians and swordsman. You will survive that, but the castle will be damaged. Your main goal in the time of peace should be to fortifie your castle and du built up your military, you will need both.
