Eaogrim Aaron, spend ALOT more time on your maps, take a look at Twodie's latest map called Desert Sun Canyon. He most likely spent a week on that or atleast a few days, take a look at his map and look at how it is layed out, that looks realistic.

Thanks for the tips eagorim!
Eaogrim You're welcome. None of us are perfect, the best map makers I've ever seen were Warlord Designs, now those are maps to look at with awe. But even they weren't perfect, so don't try to make perfect maps but gradually improve them.
Lord Karpathea *slaps Eaogrim for saying that WL_D wasn't perfect*

HERETIC!!! Next I suppose you shall be besmirching the great name of Sulis as well?! 0_0
Eaogrim :D no, but no-one was perfect not you, not me, not WL_D, not Sulis, not AZ ViTrAzhAs, no-one.

Not even Firefly make perfect maps. But all the greats of Stronghold Heaven are the closest they can get to it.
Lord Karpathea True story. :)
Lord De Vulus First of all this is in the wrong category, it should belong to Stronghold Crusader:Invasions

Playability: 1.5/Balance: 1.5

I didn't actually play through the whole map and I have my doubts about you testing it either. You should always play through your maps or ask someone to do so before publishing them here. The reason I didn't finish this map was because it was simply very boring. A constant stream of horse archers kept coming and killing my archers on the wall, they also managed to pick away a few of my farmers, but it didn't affect my food producing in anyway. I simply kept making archers and put them on the wall, killed a few enemies and more came. As I said before the enemy did manage to kill my troops, but after that they couldn't siege the castle in anyway and I could have simply collected thousands of coins and made a huge army defeating my enemy, but since I didn't feel like just sitting and waiting there was no point in playing through the whole map.

Here is a few tips that you could use to improve your future maps.

-Give the player some time to get his economy running and build defences.

-Replace the repeating constant small invasions and add maybe 2 or 3 larger ones which keep getting stronger till the end.

-Limit the players ability to sell/buy things to make the scenario more interesting and difficult

Creativity: 1.5

There isn't much to say here. A basic small castle which you need to defend from enemy units. One thing good about this was that there was two places from which the enemy could invade north and south.

-Add more random events to the scenario to surprise the player, either bad things or good things.

-Do not make the same invasion come over and over again as this easily gets boring and frustrating.

Map Design: 2

Obviously not a lot of work went into this and the map was made quickly. The good thing was that it wasn't all flat. This is something that new map makers do a lot, but you added a few hills to give it more life. The small lake surrounded with grass in the middle of the map did not look realistic at all and adding tetails to a small map (200x200) is a good things as there is not much to look at anyway. The castle was also rather plain and didn't look that good.

-Go look at some map making guides or download a few maps from others and learn them to make better maps yourself.

Story/Instructions: 1

There were none.

-Add a basic background
*Who are you?
*What is the history behind the castle?
*Why are you being invaded?

Simple stuff like this.

Additional Comments:

Keep making maps and this was not a bad map for a 2nd one. It was a lot better than the few first that I made and I hope you don't take this review as negative feedback rather than that I just wanted to give you some advice and tips for the future. I'll be waiting for a new map from you soon. :)
