Yes This is an impossible map to win, you will be defending, you are seiged and under attack, but I did give you a win condition if you think you can get that far.

Your castle is by the sea and the dunes build up on the other side, out in front you will find 2 invasion points and a bit of a defense for the invasion points. The castle is there to give you a start but most will tear it down and rebuild, you have access to wood, iron and stone all other resourses will have to come from the market, some of your weapons can be made some can be purchased.

The stockroom, granary and armory have goods in place and you start with a good amount of gold, some food buildings are in place and you can move troops around for better defense as well as make some more with the weapons in stock, 2 main restrictions are no Portable sheilds and no Fire balista. The castle is an inner and outer setup the small inner space has 2 towers accessible from the keep and outer walls give access to the 1 outer tower.

The game starts with enemy troops heading for your castle, if you do nothing then you will lose quickly, building a defense will not be easy. Invasions start in June 1213 and the last scripted invasions come in July 1225. August 1226 will be the start of repeating invasions until January 1235 when they are turned off, if you can survive that long then remove all enemy troops you will get the WIN!!!

Senseisan Very nice scenario , had some hours of fun ...
You face thousands of various invaders whith a little economy , think about efficiency or die ...
You have to buy more or less anything , except some wood and a few stone and iron you can steal between invasions , money is very tight and training new units not obvious , think about how to keep your men alive !
You can dream about surviving whithout a moat , there is not yet taxes on dreams , but the proper width for a moat is a slinger's range ^^
Siege engines , over all trebuchets , are a very danger whith your poor stone stock and lack of money , inviting them for hunting wild gooses seems a good idea .
At the end of invasions , the northern third of the map is yellow of stuck armored units , dealing whith them is not a quick process , a couple of woodcutters out of the moat bait them in little squads in the range of your xbowmen.
When they are dead and burried , spreading your economy out of the moat and sweeping the remnants is a Sunday walk !
Whith no hurry , last invaders flee in 1262 , whith a little bug , a foe engeneer leaving a siege engine became one of my slingers , gladly shooting his ex-friends ( traitor ! ).

If you don't fear adrenalin and want to push your defensive skills to limits , this scenario is for you !

Edit Keep an eye on your economy , the storage in two parts stuck my brewer as hop was not in the nearest part , best having a single spot for storage ...

Congratulations on your victory Senseisan !!!

Getting the victory screen on this map is not an easy feat, but I thought a few of you would be able to so I added a win condition.

I have seen more than a few impossible maps made and thought I would give it a try, glad you had some fun playing.

peter2008 Oh, some times I got a blow on the nose when I tried several solutions to beat the invasions.
When I had become familiar with the situation, I had 20 fletchers running and produced (and bought) about 600 xbows.
I guess, it's impossible to solve this mission without flanking the signposts. The trees to the west look too compelling anyways.

A close timing is needed to end this one "early". There is a tiny gap of time when you can at first overrun the signposts.

But right after that certain date, repeated huge invasions arrive who still enlarge the size and thrill of the battle.
Sir_Vet scripted the invasions with a skilful hand. The different unit types with their various speeds overlap in the attacks, so it gets hard to take them on.
Either you're overrun quickly or you will enjoy the clash of masses.

Very entertaining.
