You are part of the history of Schauenforst, a castle with a living history. Although it really exists and the map based on it, the map is not a model of Schauenforst. The History is complete fictional.
|Made with version:
My maps are more simulations than stratetic fights. As simulations, they are as real as possible und represents always the lifetime of a ruler. You are this ruler, and your task will be to survive the time. These times will be sometimes very peacefully ( ;.)) may be, to peacefully), sometimes you will have nearly no chance.
There are changes in the scripting. Your castle has now only weak defenses, and it is up to you, if and in which way you build up your army or if you neclect it und concentrate on the economy. At the End of the introduction you will find your tasks and all possible hardship which could hit you.
History and Introduction
In the heart of Obertaurien: Thomas , Lord of Gemmingen destroyed 1222 the Castle of a follower of the house of Nassau and built the stronghold Schauenforst to control the dukedom and the important iron mines. But after a few years, the stronghold was destroyed too.
Clemens the IV.,duke of the south, Lord of Sangershausen, rebuilt 1390 Schauenforst, to get control over the important mines. He appointed Baron Heswegen as the comander of castle and country. But soon conflicts and fightings arose around these mines, and the castle became the centre of the campaigns.
1390 1446 (56 years): Times of ferocious fightings around iron mines
You are Baron Hesweg, the snake, the commander of the stronghold Schauenforst, and you have only one duty: build up the army and hold the control over the mines against relentless enemies.
Your Tasks and what you can expect:
You have the only task to build up an army, strong enough to stop your relentless enemie, the rat. But he is strong, and he will not give up so easily. He will return again and again.
But this is not your main problem. The people dislike you and your rule, therefore they are willing to run away quickly. The trade routes arent good, you cant buy much, neither food n or weapons. You have to use your resources. And as there were long times of heat in the last years, people expect it will happen again. But the long heat will destroy your woods, and with the heat wolves will come, and the crop will dy. People will left, but you need them. Your advisors are very sure: without soldiers you will loose.
