You are part of the history of Kinzheim, a castle with a living history. Although it really exists and the map based on it, the map is not a model of Kinzheim. The History is complete fictional.
|Made with version:
My maps are more simulations than stratetic fights. As simulations, they are as real as possible und represents always the lifetime of a ruler. You are this ruler, and your task will be to survive the time. These times will be sometimes very peacefully ( ;.)) may be, to peacefully), sometimes you will have nearly no chance.
There are changes in the scripting. Your castle has now only weak defenses, and it is up to you, if and in which way you build up your army or if you neclect it und concentrate on the economy. At the End of the introduction you will find your tasks and all possible hardship which could hit you.
Approximately in 1227 build in Alsace to the shelter of the city of Kinzheim.
1492 -1603: The city of Schlettstadt owns the fortress. The castle is administered by castellans.
A feud layd waste to Kinzheim. In 1632 the Swedes burned down the castle.
In 1649 partially built up.
Since 1735 the castle began crumbling. Today it is a massive, well-preserved ruin.
Fictional history and Introduction
1192: Hans von Hattstadt, canon of the order of the holy way , establishes Kinzheim for the protection of the small town of Hurtingen in the northern wilderness. Captains are the administrators of the castle. However, during the following years northern hordes flooded not only the east. They also conquered the heart Obertauriens and lay waste the hardly settled north.
1192 – 1231 (39 years): Years of fighting deadly hordes
You are a nameless captain (the wolve) and follower of Hans of Hattstadt and responsible for the new castle of Kinzheim. But there are very bad signsof missfortune, which will hit you. People are whispering of large, wild hordes, coming from the east, coming from Norgia, and laying waste many towns and castles of the north. Could you resist? It will be very unlikely, but you may try it …..
What you could expect:
This is a war mission. You will probably lose this mission, but may be you can prevent this. The horde is overpowering. You must build up very fast a strong army. But you have only little money, you can’t build walls or sell wood and buy. Pay attention to your stocks.
Norgia will send out small troops over and over again which should weaken you. The saboteurs who lay fire also belong to it. Furthermore spreads out the plague, linked with famines and a peasants' revolt. Though Hattstadt sends you troops, but they are very weak. The enemy will arrive in several waves, and in the end he will set the castle in flames ….. As I said, you have nearly no chance, but may be, I am wrong ….
Last points: ;-))) I lost my castle already in the first beginnings. But I changed this event a little bit …… and you can construct towers and wooden staircases, although you have no walls. Build a tower, put a piece of wooden palisade at the wall, and you can construct staircases ….what seems to be realistic. In the beginning, towers had often no stone steps, but wooden constructions, leading to doors above the ground …..
