This is my first scenario. I have tested it and everything appears to work, but let me know if you find any bugs. Here is the story:
Long ago, Fort Rudoln was built to defend the southeastern lands of the kingdom. Shortly after it was finished, the fort was sieged. None survived the attack.
Recently, it was discovered that the kingdom's enemy is gathering in the east, preparing for an invasion. You have been chosen to rebuild Fort Rudoln and keep the enemy from invading. |

I downloaded this file but was not able to play the map. Is this error from the file itself or my side? I'm not sure.
I ran the scenario but was presented with a blank environment and no objectives. :/

@Sir Freaky
What's your SHC version? |

Version 1.1. Could that be it ? |

That's the problem. Earlier versions cannot run maps that are made by later versions. (At best, you could in theory play until an inevitable CTD; at worst, well, the map is unplayable as is in your case.) |

I actually created the map with Stronghold Crusader HD (which is apparently 1.3). I'm not sure if non-HD versions can run it either. |

This first Invasion type scenario by MedialWarfare is solidly organized around bunches of restrictions in the sections of food and weapons.
It plays too easy, however, because the invasions arrive relatively late - and fromone signpost only, so can be dealt with quickly. |

Thanks for the input. I will add another signpost and increase the starting time slightly. |

Right... I agree ( as usual ...) whith Peter2008 as at midtime I had > 100 Xbowmen watching in towers between the keep and the signpost ... |

The updated version is now more balanced which arises from the first invasion arriving earlier. You will not have finished your castle yet, and question is how many bowmen you will have by that time.
Concerning the economy you can focus on different aspects like clearing the greenery or expanding the stone production.
The restrictions are well thought through.
@MedialWarfare, if you like you can call for playtesting your next map in the forums:

Senseisan, how did you have crossbows? They aren't available from the barracks and you can't build dairy farms or tanners.
As for the balance of the map, I think it is fine now. I can hardly beat it anyway, so increasing the difficulty would only make it harder for me to test it. |
