Here are some faces I have created! I hope you will like them. I've put some time into them, and I would be grateful if you rated them. To cut the long story short, here are the images: If you like those, you may also be interested in other I have created. You can take a look at them here! There you will see overview of some other faces as well, but there you may also contact me, if you have any fresh idea for some face you would like to have created. I could make it for you, and I would also upload it into my album, but that only with your permission. Of course, you may also contact me here, but if you do, please post a comment there that you wrote to me here at Stronghold Heaven - this way I will get an email notification, and I will be aware of that someone wrote to me. :) Also, if you don't want to download all those faces in one file, you may chose to look for this specific face in my Stronghold Crusader faces and crests album, download it, and then you would have this one you like, and all other default faces (shields). As about setting up these faces: all you need to do, is to unpack the archive you downloaded from here, and copy faces.bmp file into folder Program Files\Firefly Studios\Stronghold Crusader, thus overwrite the original face.bmp file. In case you forget to backup the original faces.bmp file, I have provided it in this download as well. ;) Enjoy those new faces, feel free to contact me, and don't forget to rate them, if you like them. :) |

These are amazing faces! That assasin one would be perfect for me, and the LOTR characters fit nicely into the game.
Good work. |

Thanks, Savage Templar, I'm glad you like the faces. If there is any else character you would like to see created for this, just let me know. With exception to Boromir, of course, he will surely be created. :)
I have notices that some people simply like some characters which I wasn't expected to be notices so much. One example for this is is king Baldwin, the Leper King, from "Kingdom of Heaven". Speaking about this movie - Balian is in my plans as well. :)
As soon as I created twenty more interesting faces, I will submit them here as well. |

Thanks for the reply, pics from the animated version of LOTR could be cool (especially Boromir)
Also, I like the new Lionheart. When Firefly finally release some new pictures of the lords you should really include them. |

I didn't know about animated LOTR, but know when I saw some pictures from it - I must agree it would be interesting. :)
As about faces of the lords from Stronghold Crusader 2 - I am already considering to make some of them, which Firefly did show to us. Like Saladin for example... I hope I will be able to do it any time soon.
Thanks for your suggestions. |

I have submitted another faces pack, and you I have created one after Boromir from animated LOTR just like you suggested. :) Now it waits to be approved.
Only this pack will not have only faces - there will be ten shields as well. |

How did you do it? When I try to customize a face for myself, I have a pink aura that I can't remove. |

You can remove the purple ring, you get the purple ring when you simply paste your picture. These faces work so that purple works as transparent. The problem at your faces is that the purple around your picture is not entirely purple.
This is why I don't crop the picture before pasting, but I do it the other way around. I copy entire picture with its background into the purple box, and then I mark the background, and mark it purple. When applying purple color to the background I even need to click several times to be sure that purple color is entirely applied to the background. If you need any further help, just ask. :) |

So, you're saying I should simply shrink the pic and paint the unneeded parts pink? |

Yes, that's the best method, as I have concluded after trying to make as good faces as possible.
At first I was trying to paste an already cropped picture, and then to remove those purple rings, but then I would lose some parts of the cropped picture. For example, you could lose an ear, or part of the hair, etc. Even part of an arm, which would as a result look as the character on your picture is skinnier.
Even when I was making those shields. I would make a shield, and then I would add some background, only to paste the shield together with it only to color that background purple.
Truth to be told, I didn't come to this idea on my own. When you look at the original shields, you will notice that even they have some brownish color around them which isn't noticeable at first. It even makes the picture look as if it was in higher resolution, the blockish edges are far less noticeable this way. |

Hmm, doesn't seem to work for me. I shrinked the pic and copied it to the faces, then pinked out the background. Yet the face still seem to have a pink aura around his head :/
Update: I managed to fix the problem, although the portait has the odd habit of snipping the portrait at the edges (except below it). I don't know know why, because the other lords' portaits seems to go from edge to edge (like the Wolf for example).[Edited on 03/04/17 @ 09:25 PM]
