Inpenetrable II

Author File Description
File Details
Map Size: 200x200 (Small)
Difficulty: Hard
Made with version: 1.2
This is the second of a series of 4 increasingly difficult offensive sieges.

This level is difficult partially due to a deadly, albeit obvious trap in the map; I think I've said enough.

Please forgive me for no story and a very sparse background - I find it counterproductive to fill up the place with unneccessary things. I do like making castles like the four presented in the Inpenetrable series.

Does anyone use this site anymore, I got Stronghold: The Complete Collection as a Christmas gift, and I loved it. Please try my map, I'm a novice at map design and pretty poor at sieging a castle; these evels were difficult for me to complete.
Mazeppa ^ Well, obviously I could understand why hardly anyone would even bother wasting their time downloading 371 KB worth of valuable space to play your excessively bland maps; maps that you've only spent 10 minutes creating and never gave a toss. :/ So in return, why would you expect anyone to give a toss about your maps? :/ Especially when you yourself, "find most eye-candy effects obtrusive abd unimportant." -_-

You may think that map design is not important. Well, actually IT IS IMPORTANT. It gives gameplay much added character and even invents a whole new level of it. It gives much needed atmosphere to the story and history your're portraying, and it makes people WANT to play your map. Most importantly, it makes your map truly memorable. And may I say more, that how you yourself, see "eye-candy effects obtrusive abd unimportant", completely insults many map designers here who spend countless hours adding beautiful details and realistic effects to their maps.

I mean, surely you could see some inspiration with the thousands of diverse, wonderful maps submitted here. Surely you could reflect how much time they have dedicated to beautifying every single tile in their maps, in contrast to the 4 ugly maps you have submitted here.

If you submit a map that has a good narrative, a beautiful landscape, wonderful scenery and great eye-candy, then it will hold something memorable to many players and they will praise you for it.

But, if you're going to submit a map you've only spent 10 minutes in drawing, with no storyline, no eye-candy, nothing to look at except for a silly "castle" that you can't be bothered to contribute anything realistic on it, it's better you don't submit it at all. :/
