Your father, the King, is dead. Even if you loved him very much, was not the same for the people, especially the clergy. In his long life he had kept in all the ways that the Church got too much power, hampering the monks with all his strength. He enacted laws that confiscated lands to the priests, prevented the construction of new sacred places and confiscated part of the wealth of the bishops. But the people were very religious, and took the side of the Clergy, fearing any retaliation from the sky. Influenced by large cardinals and the archbishops, the populace turned against the sovereign, assaulting his palace. Once inside they took him and led him out by force, taking in the main square. There, in front of hundreds of spectators, including yourself, they beheaded him.

You are the new sovereign, the people love you and you have reconciled the two sides. But your father had done great harm to the bishops. Asking them how you could redeem his soul, they said that you had to pay a large sum of money. They also forced you to finance the construction of a mighty cathedral, as anybody had never seen. Your job was to gather the resources needed, and send them to the Archbishop. So you arrived to the fortress of Millerocce, which was famous for its numerous caves and rich woods that surrounded the castle. Near the fort there is also a monastery. The monks will need your help to free their lands from the wolves. You begin immediately to extract the required materials, but suddenly a message arrives. The king of the neighboring kingdom has declared war on you, trying to take advantage of the death of your father. He thinks you're too weak to be able to defend. Show him that he is wrong.


The fortress is carved into the rock, many buildings are built into the rock wall. Your palace is protected by walls very solid. There are two possible accesses, via two bridges that cross the river. One of them is destroyed, but the ruins have created a ford which still allows the crossing. This ford leads to what was once the Gate of Marble, a portal that was used to defend in time of war. Now, however, lay in ruins. The other bridge leads to a narrow gorge, that you have to use wisely to defend yourself. The enemy is in fact much larger than you, and his troops are better armed.

Senseisan Done at Normal , end in 1101 , main problem beeing as usual the % of blessed ...
By setting a 4th chapel , % falls from 45 to 15 ...
Fun map whith all this hobbit holes , but logistic and storage space are a nightmare , even if you can add some squares of storage here and there .
Keep an eye on your economy , as the storage is in several parts and f.e. brewers can stop working if there is hop , but not in the nearest part.

I wanted to make a map where at normal level the player was able to win before the last invasion, while at very difficult not only had to raise more resources, but also withstand more invasions. It's a way to make the map playable in two different ways

I made a small mistake. To put to work the common people in the editor I converted the file .sav in .map, so the initials goods were already in use. But I left them in the editor, then playing the map you've got double the initial resources :)
