BETRAYAL
map by LegionHero
The days when the country was divided seemed long gone. After a surprising alliance with the Snake, the Rat is also deployed on your side, as his lands were now surrounded by your own. The Wolf remained in his fortress in the north, without disturbing the peace, and only the Pig remains to hinder you the way to the Crown and National Unity. After months of war, your combined armies defeated him, and he retired to his last stronghold. It's time to put an end to this bloody conflict. You gathered your allies and walked to the lands of the Pig. You noticed that the discontent spread among the troops. Everyone was wondering what will happen after the siege, as your allies will behave once the war was over. It was a question that you asked often to youself too, but in all this time you still had any reason to doubt them. After four days' march finally arrive near the fortress. You order your men to prepare the camps. The Rat leads his troops on an island, the Snake on a small beach, protected by the mountains, and you near the ancient ruins.
CAMP OF THE RAT
The Rat, along with his troops camped on an island in the middle of the lake, north-east of the map. The island is connected to the mainland by a ford, and this means that there is only one access to the camp. He also erected fences to protect themselves, and some of your engineers camped out with him, along with some siege machines. His army consists of archers and spearmen.
CAMP OF THE SNAKE
The Serpent has camped on a small beach, in the center of the map, and he has built palizzato. The western part of the camp is protected by the mountains, while to the east from the lake. The only point of access is from the south. Fact, there are two other fords that allow the crossing. In his camp, since it is the one closest to the castle, were brought catapults. His troops are composed of archers, crossbowmen and maceman.
FORTRESS OF THE PIG
The castle rises in the north-west mountains, and it's very solid. The only access is through a narrow gorge, always supervised. It is said that no hostile army ever live through that passage. In fact it is full of traps and patrolled by the archers of the Pig. His army consists of archers, crossbowmen, pikemen, and swordsmen.
The troops are almost ready to fight, when a messenger from the Rat informs you that he wants to meet you in a small valley among the ruins. He has a plan for battle. You send your general, Sir Longarm, to talk to him, but it was a trap. Your men are torn to pieces by the troops of the Rat, who, along with Snake, takes the side of the Pig. Get notified by another messenger that the Wolf is coming down to the South to come to destroy you, with a huge army. You can not defeat these enemies alone. You have to conquer the fortress of the Pig before the army of the Wolf arrives. But you also have to take revenge against your allies traitors, who continually send troops to kill you. In addition, the engineers are imprisoned, and the siege machines are located in the two camps. You must retrieve it and save the engineers. In this map you can not recruit them, and you can not build other siege weapons.
TIPS
As long as your economy will prosper there will be positive events, such as the traveling fair or marriage.
Inside the camp there is a reservoir of your iron you can use to train more swordsmen as possible. You'll need both to defend that to attack.
The stones can be extracted by reusing the stones of the ancient ruins.
The area is mountainous, and apple orchards, fields of grain and hops can not be built. You can, however, buy some materials to the market.
At one point, the snake will start to attack you very often, unless you send him a load of beer. In that case he will stop the attacks, but you still have to kill him.
MISSION
The goal is to eliminate all the enemies on the map before the arrival of the army of the Wolf.
