IRON FIST
map by LegionHero
Nothing could prepare the king at what he saw. In front of him were the massacred bodies of an entire village. The women were first raped and then burnt alive. The children had been thrown from the windows of the houses, and now their little bodies were lying in the street like trash. Often in the doorways of the house there was the corpse of a man, a sign that he tried to protect his family from enemies who were trying to force the door. Many buildings were still on fire, others already had turned into glowing coals, and huge columns of black smoke loomed into the sky. There was no sign of responsible, no one of the invasors had been killed or captured. When he would find the culprits nothing could save them from the fury of Maven Iron Fist. He mounted his horse, but was about to leave when something caught his attention. A man covered in blood was crawling toward the woods. Immediately he made him catch by his men and led him to the castle. The King already savored the screams that this man would issue while he questioned him.
Yet another blow beat down with terrifying force on the face of the prisoner. His face was reduced to a bloody pulp. The heavy iron gloves had done their duty. But he still has not revealed anything. Another shot, a tooth darted away from what was to be his mouth. He spat out a blood clot. He was laughing! It was certainly a fool. The king flew into a rage and began hitting him without stopping, removing the guards who were trying to restrain him. Finally, with one last, mighty fist, he smashed the skull of the prisoner, and his brain scattered throughout the room, smearing the tunic of the sovereign. Maven shouted in anger. That bastard had not said anything. But then he had an idea. He rummaged in his pockets and found a small bag full of gold coins. They had been minted in the county of Irvelia, whose Lord had long been openly hostile to his King. Cursing all the Gods, the King rally the troops, put on his armor and left without even saying goodbye his wife. The army would arrive within two days.
On the way, however, the unthinkable happens. Your armies fall into a trap of the men of Count Viper, and the army is divided into three blocks. Fortunately, all three manage to get to the castle. The bulk of the troops camped in the South East, while the infantry and siege equipment in the North West. The cavalry on the other hand is located in South-West, and is separated from the rest of the army. In addition, clerks siege engines are not in the same camp.
As if that were not enough you discover that your enemy has entered into an alliance with other rebel lords, and an army of joint forces is marching against you. If you do not conquer the castle in time, you'll be surrounded and cut to pieces.
The enemy controls the bridge and fords, but if you manage to capture the small village that lies to the east you will receive a significant tactical advantage, and you can enlarge your army.
The game begins in January 1065, you have until February 1072 to win. |
