-5- Cheerful Sultan

Author File Description
ognjenzr Hi guys, another pack from me,after some time i finally got around to finish this one...
It's the pack you guys have been waiting for,the strongest AI in the game by far,the biggest castle, the strongest attack,a mighty defense, all in one!
:P Yeah,i'm just being a fool,it's the Sultan, just a bunch of slingers to slaughter.. OR is it...? :P

He has a stronger defense,a good build order,he will build mines and even farms which will make him a solid opponent!

Here are the pics,enjoy!

I personally enjoy his small graveyard in the back of castles 7 and 8,a lot of slingers need to be buried there! :D :D :D

Leave a comment/suggestion/reply/money...
I don't know who ill be doing next,i was thinking a Christian lord, maybe you guys can help?

Duc Vautour I love the design. The addition of a weapon workshop will definetely helps The Sultan with his weak economy. But i guess you put too many hovels since the Sultan did not build a farm, his economy will struggle because there are a lot of people to feed.

Speaking of a crusader lord, how about Emperor Frederick? He has a good castle but he build his troops too damn slow. I was thinking about giving him a lot of weapon workshop so he can attack faster and man his tower with more men faster. And put his enggineer guild in a safe position. Because it is often destroyed and he wont vuild it again because it was disturbed by the moat or something

Keep up the good work :)

Thank you for your reply Duc,you are right,i did overdo it with the houses in the first couple of the designs.I did some repairs, cut down on the houses, and replaced them with more poleturners.

Whatever i try,Sultan WILL NOT BUILD FARMS.He just refuses. It's hard coded into his playstyle i think and we can't do anything about it...

Frederick is an interesting player, maybe ill just do him... :P
Landari He will place farms ^^ apple and diary farms works.
I've tested it on my aiv.
Maybe you need to reduce the distance between his castle and your graslands, because i feel that those rocky lands are the same place for the farms on the aiv

Really??? I tried a hundred times with all kinds of placement and all types of farms and he didn't build a single one... maybe ill try and experiment more... if i find a way,ill upload a fixed version. Thnx guys.

Ok,after some tempering i managed 1 dairy farm! The problem is this,it seems farms need exact placement,i test my castle on a special map with a lot of empty room around castles with no grass nearby, but when you play a map where grass is close,he will build them! I added farms in all 8 build orders, this is great reinforcement for the Sultan!
LordPsycom You can place some hunters, then he will have an advantage against others in maps without grassland (desert). And in many maps are deers to hunt.
Landari the problem you got with sultan is that he needs the " exact " same spot like you found out, unlike the other Lords,
I think this is caused by the typical standard 0 food production sultan
gold99 Bad-ass!
Heroesflorian Cool designs indeed! :)

Just 2 questions:
- Is the slinger range big enough for the center round towers in the 5th design (three circles lined up) so that the slingers stationed there can properly reach enemies outside the walls?
- At least one design contains barracks. What is this for?

Awesome work! :)

First of all, thanks for the positive reply!
The towers are there mainly to hold engines, and the slingers are there just as a meat shield XD

The racks in design 5 are mistake,i have no idea how they got there... XD
