Beeing escaped from Duc Volpe with everyone who was still alive, you have the time to breathe again. The Wolf showed you what war really means. But while running, the grass that marked every Szenario began to disappear. You find yourself standing in the desert. Heading on to the north-west, hoping to find any fertile land, your troops don't survive the trip but you stay strong - with success: Some uncoordinated Arabs were just about to settle down to build something up to use the oasis being near. You managed to persuade them to lead the upcoming work to get some food. As your cape color didn't match fully to them, you decide to bleach it a bit. The environment might be a bit problematic - good thing is that you can easily cut off enimy troops - but the bad thing is that the oasis you wanted is on the other side!
Unexpectedly, after you placed your keep, a single swordsman appears out of nowhere. With some thinking you realize that the Wolf has sent troops following you into the desert. What a cruel man.
But this means, that you should hurry. Prepare to prepare a castle by supplying yourself with enough stone and finally close the gap.
One problem is that the resource you need is even further away than the fertile land - but the biggest one: How are you gonna stop Lord Volpe's swordsmen without crossbows?

This is an Invasion map.
It's my first submission but I've been creating maps for much longer. I'm glad to be here!
Enjoy my map - as long as you can. :)
No really, you'll have to stand 5-7 hard Stronghold years. A Stronghold Crusader Mission where you may sweat.
A really frustrating scenario ... impossible to win!

I had it even harder (shorter intevals) before, but that frustrated even me too much (although it was still possible). I'm ok with this as I have a solid way to solve it:
Please try it first before reading this!
It would be so cool if you could make own tips and texts for own missions... ._.
You better use beer instead of food to hold your people. Sell everything you can to recrute troops.
Put as many slingers as you can between the destroyed gatehouse and your keep. The attacking troops will directly try to get to your lord and won't destroy anything. Use your few archers to take out the enemy archers. You needn't, but they'll disturb your workers. Keep the assassins on your keep (right after the entry) as they will finish off incoming swordsmen almost instantly. I haven't tried it, but maybe it's possible to use slaves to burn own buildings to make enemy troops run through fire.
You might want to close the gap with a gatehouse, then put all your slingers to the iron. Running upwards, the enemy troops will be even slower and always be dead if you have enough slingers.
If I didn't cover anything, ask. :3

Hello popcornxD,
I've finally managed to beat this tricky thing! By ignoring your hints I encouraged myself to give it another attempt, and after a heavily struggling period of several game years I was fairly relieved when I got victory on the screen in January 1201! Yes, it is a tough scenario and you're absolutely right: there's no need to close the gap quickly, it's better to await the advancing swordsmen with a double-line of numerous slingers in using the opponent's straightforward impulse ...
