if you're a pro, you may think this map is easy. BUT THERE'S A CATCH! stone castle buildings, stone walls, and even churches are not allowed to be built! stone cannot be purchased in the marketplace! that's why it's called wooden hell!
V1.1: ballistae have been disallowed
V1.2: signpost locations have been changed
V1.3: a new message activates after you survived, which is basically sir longarm saying "I have returned with the king and together, we have taken back another county"
the ballistae being allowed was unintentional, the iron is here so you can sell iron, the moat being allowed is intentional, also, burning your city down to win is really messed up, you sacrificed your people just to burn down all of your enemies that are inside, that would've made your king want to punish you, and also, the start of the story is a parody of how one of the custom economic mission stories start
EDIT: my new map has been approved! I recommend playing this map!: http://stronghold.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=8316
EDIT 2: the story is told by the protagonist, not a storyteller who knows everything. the protagonist experienced a lot of bandit attacks so that's why it expects an invasion

I managed to win, even though I did not use the inferno trick by burning down my entire settlement... I concentrated on crushing down the enemy's siege equipment with assistance of my mounted knights before the destroying siege machines started to tear down my walls. I only counted 11% casualties of my troops (mainly crossbowmen and knights.
