Fans of my old work may recognize the name, Lindesfarne. Its an island abbey off the coast of NE England. Ive used it in my old maps. This one is no disappointment.
You control the island fortress and small self sufficent buildings that make Lindesfarne village on the island. You will be attacked by maruaders or the arab kind. Keep the island iron mine functioning because its the only thing you can sell in the market for gold! Outlast the siege, but dont forget to protect your ancient barracks and armories with crumbling walls. Its possible! Have fun and please take your time to critque and rate!
a great and funny entry-map by the way ... nothing to do here economically, just a few adaptions to make concerning popularity and weapon trading. My army, at the beginning mostly consisting of archers repelled the first attack, but I had to retreat gradually by simultaneously recruiting crossbowmen like mad ...Once being consolidated, I concentrated my troops to hold the fort near the barracks, stopping them there from entering the island, where my economy was pre-established. After the final invasion, I just eliminated the small remaining contingent of the yellow opponent nearby. Always had to keep an eye on the stockpile, as you will need some empty space for the iron ingots to be deposed... otherwise you won't be able to sell any iron.
Amazing!
