After playing part one, I had to play St. Brendan II… and I can’t say I liked it any less.

Here is a game that takes you the second mile. In part one you established a community and in part two, well you guessed it, you’re defending it. But this is an economic game and as expected the chore is to gather in goodies. As in the first game, it isn’t the easiest thing to do. Passion has designed in a lot of action for us once again. The bandits and fires and wolves are all there to give you fits and make your people like you a little less – and cause you to click and scamper a little more as a result. The landscape is the same, of course, pretty St Brendan Island, so I won’t go into that…. As for the story, it’s an interesting one. You are being called up out of retirement. Hmmmm….. I wouldn’t like that very much in my real life but for a game, I can live with it. LOL. Anyhow… It’s a good follow-up game and I think it’s as worthy of high marks as its predecessor. I’ll score it the same and see if anyone else argues the issues…

I liked it a bunch. Thanks for another well designed game, Passion.

My bottom line……… 4.6

peter2008 Same landscape as in part one. But a partly prebuilt castle, different goals and trading possibilities make it a new scenario. Top of all, a time limit challenges the player's coolness.
This mission is not so much about defending. Many details of the economy still have to be installed and expanded in a sensefull and effective order. Here's the player's practical test.
Very well playable on very hard.
