Two centuries ago, the region's religous leaders established a cathedral and temple complex in a valley that legend tells a great prophet was born there. This church and temple valley quickly became the most sacred religous shrine in the region and became known as the Sacred Valley. But now, there are reports of wolf and bandit attacks in the region of the Sacred Valley. The king has chosen you to go to the valley, establish a community, and build a castle and produce weapons to protect the Sacred Valley.
Playability: I couldn't stop until I finally defeated this one. It definitely took awhile, too. It wasn't easy and it wasn't so frustrating that I wanted to quit. It held my interest throughout.
Balance: I never felt like I was really waiting around. I was always having to adjust something to make my people happier, build something that had been destroyed or because I needed more production or build more troops to deal with the bandits and wolves.
Creativity: The cathedral was done very nicely and the other two structures were good as well. Nothing terribly new, but using what you had to good advantage.
Map Design: Not tremendously complex, but definitely attractive.
Story/Instructions: Clear, nice concept.
Overall, I really enjoyed the game and it was long enough and complex enough that I'm sure I'll be able to play again and again. Thanks!

This was truly a great mission. The plethora of goals made it a very interesting balance to goods coming in. There were just enough bandit attacks and wolf attacks to keep me on my toes throughout the mission. In order to make this mission a bit more difficult, I would have made the land less fertile. Overall, this was a great scenario.

Despite the reviewers, I cannot detect anything new and exciting here as for an economic mission. Just stabilize one pillar of the town after the other and, near the end, raise population for taxes and sell some food types. Bad events happen. From the most devastating one you are spared, though.
I liked that there are many signposts and that the bandits are so numerous that they can never be stopped.
