Your troops have bin captured from your castle. You must escape from the enemys castle and kill everyone in it. Nearby castles have grant use small parties of forces to help with your escape. Beware the castle is heavly guarded and this is the must vicous lord in the kingdom. They have weakened troops from the battle at our castle which should assist you in killing them. Nearby spys tell us there are a total of 5 holding cells. The weaker troops are in 3 of them and the stronger ones are in the other 2 which are more heavly guarded. Escape with your life.
Hello,
this is an interesting scenario, which unfortunately did not play very well. Therefore playability only 2. I did beat this map easily as there are too many troops at hand to make it a challenge. They broke free through the outer wall, amassed and did the job quickly. Therefore balance did not exist.
The only events necessary for the moment were "kill all enemy units" and "kill enemy Lord". So, these did not influence my creativity mark but the design of the castle and the little prisons did - nice!
The map design really is nothing special though, some landscaping and gardening would have been nice to see... The story is too short, to inspire one's imagination. The map-author definetely could work on that.
One little add: if you give the attacker fire-ballistae, you probably should give the defender one or two waterpots etc... I simply did set the entire castle aflame after breaking out. This did 30% of the job, I think.
Having said all that, I do believe that this map could be turned into something really fantastic quite easily, at least to my opinion, as the idea having the attacking force jailed before they take action is very, very nice (!) :)
1) Take a cede script (utilities download).
2) Let fewer troops attack the keep=more challenging
3) Add some landscaping (hills, river, quarry etc...)
4) script some nice events for the time after the cede-action
5) Set interesting economic goals
6) Let some well balanced invasions disturb and distract the player and make it harder to win

Hi, wildfire!
Let us discuss this at the forum. There are some "cede"-threads in the *scenario-design-section* (type 'cede' into the search engine in the right corner. I will meet you there, if you'd reply to one of these (if necessary)! You could also start a new topic overthere and we sure will discuss it!
