Food Processing
This section contains those
structures that can be found on the Food Processing tab of the structure bar. All these
buildings have to do with processing food for your hungry (and thirsty) populace.
Granary |
 |
The granary is probably the most important building in your castle, as it is here that food is stored.
It should be placed within easy reach of the various food producing buildings.
Also remember it can store only a limited amount of food, 250 units all together, and any extra granaries need to be placed next to the existing one.

Mill |
 |
Of course your peasants will not eat raw grain, so in order to give them bread
you need to undertake a little action. Mills are towering wooden structures
that will relentlessly grind down wheat and change it into flour. After your
wheat comes in you will soon see the three millers crossing to and from
the storage area. Note that one mill can grind enough wheat to keep several
farms and bakeries busy

Bakery |
 |
Flour needs to be made in to bread before it can be brought to the granary and benefit
your population. The baker will carry bags of flour to his workshop and bread
down to the granary. Several bakeries can work off the produce of a single mill.

Brewery |
 |
As bread needs a baker, beer needs a brewer. This lady will carry bags of hops from
the storage area and roll the finished product back to it so the innkeeper
can pick them up for distribution.

Inn |
 |
After a day of hard work in the fields or in the workshops your peasants will retire
here for a mug of ale. The inn will give a serious boost to the morale of your
workers, although their efficiency will suffer a little. Some people, however,
seem to spend the rest of their lives inside the inn.
