Armoury
The armoury is where your weapons are taken by the weaponmakers, ready for use by your soldiers.

Mercenary Post
This is the building where all your arab mercenaries are trained. For a simple 10 wood, this tent can turn any weakling peasant into a deadly warrior.Useful for the quick recruitment of troops when you are out of weapons, the units are, however, expensive and can be weak.

Barracks
This is one of the most important buildings in your Stronghold as it allows you to recruit and train peasants and turn them into killing machines. Once the barracks are built you can start building your army, but be sure you have enough bored peasants available. Note that the actual space taken by a barracks includes some courtyard, so you should be careful when you place it.

Walls and Stairs

Low Walls – Low walls are a feature in Crusader that are not available in the original game.

High Walls – Stone walls can be used provide a place for troops to walk on (except for siege engines and knights). You will need either a tower, gatehouse or staircase to give access to this level.

Crenellated Walls – Crenellated walls must be placed next to existing walls. Once in place, they offer protection for your archers and other troops manning the walls.
