Was playing skirmish against Lancelot, Mordred, and Arthur on the high passes map when after killing Mordred and bombarding Arthur's castle for twenty minutes he came out with a band of macemen in a suicide do or die assault against my knights of the round table, lord, merlin, and about 200 archers. He died there very quickly despite the aid of his summoned knights. Are AI lords programmed to charge the enemy army in a suicidal manner after their castle has taken X amount of damage? Or is it to avoid allowing players to imprison the AI in their castles?
[Update]
Have assaulted Lancelot for near a half hour with trebuchets and dragons (i am filthy rich in the current match between honor and gold), he has yet to charge me suicidally like King Arthur before him, wonder if perhaps my troops had accidentally moved to close to Arthur during the siege causing him to give up hope and charge with his knights to their swift demise.
[Update]
After another completed skirmish Dietrich and Mordred did a similar ill fated charge against my army as Arthur did before them. Can anyone explain these suicidal assaults against an army that could end them 10 times over?
[Update]
Assaulted a Lancelot castle using only Frost Giants as to not make Lancelot charge to his doom. After the giants destroyed many buildings (Barracks, Armory, Granary, Tavern, Church, etc) he left his keep and charged the Giants with his summoned knights. The knights were quickly disposed of followed by Lancelot himself. These do or die assaults by the lords supposed to happen as a last ditch effort for survival? Or is it a glitch or something?
[Update]
Please forgive me if this thread is completely pointless, only look for an answer to this because when trying to earn particular awards for the awards cabinet it is really annoying when I crush their defenses to clear out threats to a dragon then go to summon my dragon (Working on the dragon summoning and slaying awards) and i see the lord charging my army with only himself and his summons or with a few remaining troops and summons. Lancelot seems to do this most often if anything approaches his keep he seems to charge out and get killed more often than he is killed inside his keep, or at least that is how it is for me.
