I've not played the map yet (I'll post a review when I do) but the Minas Tirith map is looking very nice!

This is the first scenario of the series I have played so I cannot compare it to the others.
Taking the Fort is a short and enjoyable challenge which can be completed in just a few game years. This one looked easy but took me three or four re-starts to gain victory.
There are few troops on either side and the fortifications are basic but your attack needs to be carefully planned and balanced to distract archers at various points while you move in for the kill. A good clean straightforward challenge!
Emperor Alexus has created a fine map, especially the cliffs and the stones and boulders tumbled down around the bases of the cliffs. The terrain is carefully designed to make victory just barely possible. There were bare areas that could have been spruced up with rocks and bushes and such to make it more realistic. A stream or pond would also be a good addition.
The theme for this particular map is not really so unique or unusual but this is only one stage in what is probably a very creative campaign.
Thanks Emperor Alexus, I am looking forward to playing the other chapters in your series.
(Your Minas Tirith screen shots are also looking great!)

I have played and reviewed every map in the series so far and this one is very ordinary. What I mean is this. The map is (if you dont mind me saying so unnecassary). You could have made 7b a cede and missed this map out. I know it has not been designed and made to be one of Alexus' best maps and it sill has his trademark landscape and extra touches. I like the green archers in your army. Quite a hard map on normal - just about timing really - the army and fort are very simple really. Could have made the fort bigger and then in 7b you could have had more of it ruined. Still not a bad effort and with a nice story. Not bad and worth a go. Good if you like atatcking sieges which require just a little thought.
