The snake is attacking Lord Livon's county! You must strengthen his weak village and create a massive fortress to hold out against his attacks. You'll have to achieve economic goals to beat back the Snake.
Very simple, very easy but fine to play - the map design is very basic, your little settlement is next to some hills and a large forest. A basic coastline runs down theleft had side. With such a lage forest next to my base my economy flourished within minutes and soon I built a large wooden wall with stone gatehouses at regular intervals in a large arc around my settlement. Holding off the Snakes attacks was very simple as they only attacked with a handfull fo men. I had enough resources inside my walls to be quite happy - there were large amounts of stone and iron next to my keep. The victory requirments were pretty easy - crossbows, leather armour and gold. The thing was you could not build tanneries so you had to buy in your leather armour in the marketplace. Gold was simple as I had exrta rations (therefore average taxes) and I was selling pitch, iron and stone. The map deisgn was very basic - if yo are going to be mking any new stroghold maps the you do need to work on your map deisgn. Study some of the better reviewed maps on stonghold heaven, anything above a 4 and you will see how they are designed. The same goes for creativity. There is a very short bit of storyline - only really enough for a 2, not particularly creative either. Overall a perfectly playable map but too easy and severely lacking in realistic map design or accmpanied by a proper storyline. Better luck next time.
