When the enclosed file is saved with the same name as a Stronghold speech file, it saves over it.
Whenever the speech file is heard in the game, the new sound will be heard. In this case, it is me
saying "Now that you've played the map, why not review it at Stronghold Heaven".
How to use this mod:
First, decide which file you want it to replace. It must be from one of the four enemies or the scribe
You can find out their names by either listening to them in the Stronghold\fx\Speech folder,
or using the "message" event in the editor and selecting it, which will give the title of the sound file
Then, unzip review.wav. Open it with a media player and save it as C:\Program Files\Firefly Studios\Stronghold\fx\speech\(file name).wav
Make sure you have backed up the original first. Set a victory event inside the scenario to play the sound that you copied.
When the player wins, I will tell them to review it. Quite a nice touch. When including this with your scenario,
have the file with the same as the original (not review.wav), and in the readme tell them to backup the file of the same name
and how to install the mod. To uninstall it, just take the original out of the backup folder.
Example:
Lets say I am making a map in which I am facing the Rat's castle.
I will replace the sound "I am victorious, but as for you...", which is called rt_vict_03.
I save review.wav as c:\Program Files\Firefly Studios\Stronghold\fx\speech\re_vict_03.wav
In the map editor, I set the condition Rat Killed, with the effect of him saying "I am victorious..."
You can use this mod in any scenario downloadable at Stronghold Heaven (www.stronghold.heavengames.com)
All I ask is that you give me credit for it. If you have any problems with it, or I wrote this readme poorly,
email me at the_ztolk@hotmail.com
Funny idea but I spend at least an hour and a half on SHH a day and almost always comment on or review any map I play as a thank you to the map creator or some constructive criticism.Anyway pretty good idea.
