The decisive aspect in this story is not to build up an impressive fortress, but primarily it's on you to solve the permanent problems with hunger and food. Because of the limited farmlands you will be under coercion to activate your market place for trading. Find out the best suitable commercial product for sale. The following objectives you have to accomplish:
1. population 70
2. Gold: 3000
3. Bread: 60
4. Eliminate all enemies
Have a look on all burning points and react upon all events in an effective way. And don't forget to lock food consumption if necessary.
Finally two enemies will appear, who want to destroy your development.
The longer story you will find in the attached Word document.
Good luck

My rating might totally screw a person's view of my reviewing skills, but frankly, this map was incredibly impressive, It was definitely one of the best invasions I've played.
Playability- Tons of stuff to do, and unlike a lot of invasions, you never hit that point where there is no more work to do except to watch your community prosper, because your always busy changing something, whether its trying to reduce your population to stem the rate of food consumption, or buildings defences that seem to constantly get torn down. I couldnt give anything other than a 5 on this
Balance- Well the balance is very nice, you have several islands as buffer zones before you are truly ripped apart, but that doesnt mean that the islands are not vital. Its really innovative, with each island being vital in some aspect or another. The map is very hard however, as you only have two potential pieces of farmland within reach, and meeting your bread goal can be tough. This was between a 5 and a 4, but since I am not among the best of players out there, I thought it deserved a 5.
Creativity- Creativity isnt a problem here, the maps suggestive terrain and innovation in limiting resources is creativity enough. 5.
Map design- Absoultely flawless. As I mentioned, the different aspects of each island was more than enough to give it a 4 for. But then, there was more; Wooden walkways across water to the church, Steaming pools near iron deposits, and defensive points along every island. Without doubt, a 5.
Story- well, its good enough I suppose, scottish thing does the job well enough, since the map isnt part of a series, you cant expect too much
Instructions- Theres not too much telling us how to proceed about defending, but a player cant expect to be fed the game, and besides, the goal is pretty straight forward- aqquire the goods, survive the assaults. Pity to mark the map down because of this. Its a 5 once again.

Playability- This was great well deserving 5, many things to do, then.... it just kept going and going and going even after i got all the supplies more invasions after invasions. This is why the 4.
Balance- Great no problems here except the fact that if you wanna cheat you can by puting wall infront of the gathouse, although i didnt.
Creativity- just great, perfect well worth you 5 here.
Map Design- this was just perfect every thing fit so you coud only have limited farm land. Also this look fantastic.
Story & instruction- Not much story sry this is all the quality of story produced,
Im sorry if my mark put down some but i think this is a fair mark, im not saying the other guys isnt this he has his opinion and i have mine. |

Thanks a lot guys for your recent motivating ratings;
it's a good incentive to create more of those "well designed" maps...
... a next one (Delta Danubia-cede) will come soon!

I was passing by out of curiousity and noticed there was no minimap. So I took the liberty of adding the minimap. In the process I had to guess that the version used was v1.1 (the update form insists that the version is now added) |
