Okay, now I've actually spent a few hours on the design of this map. It's basically a simple small fort, in which you have a small/medium army of consisting mainly of armored troops and archers. Against you comes a huge army of the rat. You must defend the castle to the last man. the map size is tiny, but I think it works well. Please rate, even if it sucks... (which i hope it does'nt...)
Very fun map to play, could have been a bit harder but it just how is it.
Playability- this was the main thing of the map it was fun directing troops around the fort. You could have started the invasions a bit earlier because eveytime i started it was boring to wait.
Balance- This needed much work, the enemy need to atleast break down your last gate before you beat them. This would have given the map much better rating. Also the balance would be better but many men stand around doing nothing for along time and just get cut down by my archers. If the map didnt have this problem maybe the balance would be better. Try moving the signpost and gatehouse tinybits and that usually fixes the problem, abit.
Creativity- The creativity was average, with the stoned fortress making a nice touch. Although the castle only looked below average with nothing standing out the stone wall fortress made a little marks up.
Mapdesign- Not much here except alittle terrain work on outside but it looks ok do you deserve the average. The moat around the castle looked good i thought. maybe a few trees next time and shrubs, rocks.
Story- Not enough story but i want the map to have a decent rating so i put 3, maybe have a longer story next time also some hints and tips on beating it.

I played your map and won on both tries, playing on normal and on Very Hard.
Playability: 3
This map is not a siege. It's not an invasion, nor economic, nor nothing. This map is pure slaughtering. You just move your troops on the start of the map and maybe some movements on your infrantary later on. The last gatehouse is already closed. It took me a while to find out what was giving trouble. You don't need to have it already closed.
Balance: 4
Altrought the enemy force is VERY overwhelming the casle forces were too. Lots of blood on the ground, just that.
Creativity: 3
Your attempt on making a small fort was good, but... Only a part of the fort shows up on the map. What about the other part? Using the simmetry between the map part and the not-on-map part would tell me the castle is not THAT small.
Map Design: 2
There are some hills on the edge of the map where the enemy attacks, some trees and bushed and nothing else. The keep was on a pure wall structure, the only thing that was nice indeed. There are no stairs leading to the outer walls. Why? My walled troops couldn't retreat becouse of that. Also, there are no traps. The castle is wall, moat and soldiers.
Story: 4
This is the best thing on the map. The king is gone, you have to protect him. This at least was very good.
Overall: This map is pure slaughtering. There's no strategy after all, and the map, besides the castle and the hills are plains and nothing more.
