Lord Gaebril (you may recognize him from one of my stronghold maps) is an invading infidel in the once peaceful land of the muslims. As a member of the Black Hand, the darkest arm of the Jihad, it is your job to assissinate him and clease the sands of his fellow infedel invaders! He flaunts his richness in his use of water in the dry dry sands and corrupts his serfs with alchohols brewed from his barley farms and vinyards overseen by his cruel taskmasters. He allows his men to pillage and plunder and they love him for it! You must kill him and all of his scum before his men return from pillaging a small nearby town, leave none alive!
---------------------------------------------
I made this map a while ago and it's been sitting on my hard drive for a while :-D In this map you are the muslim faction aimed at wiping out the crusaders. You must kill the lord and all his men in 4 years before his army returns and most likely kills you and your small "strike force". For the golry and success of the Jihad wipe Lord Gaebril and his scum from the earth!
Firstly, I want to say that some of these maps you are submitting look half made or like design "practice" maps. I have lots of these too, whole files of them. Unlike wine, age doesnt make a bad (or even average) map better. You have learned alot more design skills, and the old work shows its rookie style. Also, I think you meant grapes instead of olives in your story. I will rate this if you want, but be ready for lows on design and creativity. If you dont want it rated, then we will leave this as is - and you can be more selective on what "golden oldies" you are posting from your secret stash of first maps.

He locked it too. I wanted to try making it better.

Give him a break, he just started. Besides, if you've played my Bernozoth maps, oi... they sucked sooo much. I regret even submitting those... but now I've learned how to detail maps. I think mine look okay now. He just needs time to improve himself, but until then;
Shame shame shame Evilcheese!

Ha! Sorry for the disappointment guys. You don't have to rate it but I do think I'll be shrinking the map a bit (it doesn't have to quite so big) and maybe redoing the castle and surrounding landscape, for now I just want feedback on the idea and playability. Also I like to solve my own problems, it does no good if you make it better and I have no idea what you did, it just doesn't help me get better, especially if I keep expecting other people to make my maps better for me :-\ That's why I lock them.

I tell the map-makers some of the things they need to improve. When it is updated, you have learned something. You use what you learned in other maps and keep getting better because of tester's advice. At least have it available in the playtesters forum to email to testers.
